Ed Brown (born 1963) is an American race car driver in the United SportsCar Championship. The IMSA SportsCar Championship, currently known as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship under sponsorship, is a sports car racing series based in the United States and Canada and organized by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). It is a result of a merger between two existing North American sports car racing series, the American Le Mans Series and Rolex Sports Car Series. 2014 12 Hours Of Sebring
The 62nd Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh from Florida was an endurance sports car racing event held at Sebring International Raceway near Sebring, Florida from 13–15 March 2014. The race was the second round of the inaugural Tudor United SportsCar Championship, replacing the former American Le Mans Series that previously held the 12 Hours since 1999, as well as the second round of the North American Endurance Cup. Daytona Prototypes were introduced to the race for the first time as part of the development of the United SportsCar Championship. The race was won by Chip Ganassi Racing's Riley- Ford driven by Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas, and Marino Franchitti, ahead of Extreme Speed Motorsports' HPD-Honda and Action Express Racing's Chevrolet Corvette. A V6 engine is a six-cylinder piston engine where the cylinders share a common crankshaft and are arranged in a V configuration. The first V6 engines were designed and produced independently by Marmon Motor Car Company, Deutz Gasmotoren Fabrik and Delahaye. HPD ARX-04b
The HPD ARX-04b is an LMP2 race car designed and built by Wirth Research for Honda Performance Development. The car was designed as the successor to the HPD ARX-03 series of Le Mans Prototypes, however the poor performance of the car meant that the older model outlived the ARX-04b, and the 04b only contested one race, the 2015 24 Hours of Daytona. Racing history The car was designed to meet the new set of LMP2 regulations, starting in 2014. Two cars were delivered to its sole customer, Extreme Speed Motorsports, in December 2014, where it soon began testing. The team intended to use the cars in the 2015 United SportsCar Championship, starting at the 24 Hours of Daytona. Road America is a motorsport road course located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, United States on Wisconsin Highway 67. The 2014 Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Hawk Performance was a sports car racing event held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park near Bowmanville, Ontario from July 10 to the 13, 2014. Watkins Glen International, nicknamed "The Glen", is an automobile race track located in the town of Dix just southwest of the village of Watkins Glen, New York, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. It was long known around the world as the home of the Formula One United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for twenty consecutive years (1961–1980).
