Ecotricity is a British energy company based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, specialising in selling green energy to consumers that it primarily generates from its 87.2 megawatt wind power portfoliothe company prefers the term windmill rather than wind turbine. It is built on the principle of heavily reinvesting its profit in building more of its own green energy generation. The company was founded in 1995 by Dale Vince, who remains in control; in 2022 he announced an intention to sell the company, which has around 200,000 domestic and business customers. Good Energy Group PLC is a British energy company based in Chippenham, Wiltshire that provides services in the electrification of transport and decentralised renewable energy generation such as domestic solar panels. Dale Vince
Dale Vince (born 29 August 1961) is a British "green energy" industrialist. A former New Age traveller, he is the owner of the electricity company Ecotricity. Early life and career Vince was born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Leaving school at 15, he spent time as a New Age traveller. In 1991, he saw his first windfarm ("I thought, either I can carry on by myself with the windmill on my van, or I can get into the big stuff") and in 1995 he founded the Renewable Energy Company. __NOTOC__ Conisholme is a small settlement and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is on the Cleethorpes to Mablethorpe A1031 road, and north-east from Louth. The population is included in the civil parish of Grainthorpe. Community Conisholme is approximately from the Lincolnshire coast. United Downs Deep Geothermal Power is the first geothermal electricity project in the UK. It is the natural progression of the Camborne School of Mines led Cornish Hot Dry Rocks (HDR) project, undertaken in the 1980s at Rosemanowes Quarry, designed to test and prove the theory of inducing a fracture network within the heat-producing granite to create a geothermal reservoir. Biogas
