Ecopass
The Ecopass program was a traffic pollution charge implemented in Milan, Italy, as an urban toll for some motorists traveling within a designated traffic restricted zone or ZTL ( it, Zone a Traffico Limitato), corresponding to the central ''Cerchia dei Bastioni'' area and encircling around . The Ecopass was implemented as a one-year trial program on January 2, 2008, and later extended until December 31, 2009. Milan Area C
Area C is a congestion charge active in the city center of Milan, Italy. It was introduced in 2012, replacing the previous pollution charge Ecopass and based on the same designated traffic restricted zone. The area is about with 77,000 residents (4.5% and 6% of the city total, respectively) and is accessible through gates monitored by traffic cameras. The objective of the program is to reduce traffic, promote public transport, and to decrease the high levels of smog in the city. Letizia Maria Moratti (née Brichetto Arnaboldi; Milan, 26 November 1949) is an Italian businesswoman and politician.
