Bashundhara ( bn, বসুন্ধরা আবাসিক এলাকা) is an upscale residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The area is developed by Bashundhara Group. The project of Basundhara was started in the 1980s. In 2011 portions of the housing project was declared illegal as they were considerable flood flow zones of Dhaka. News24 is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable pay television channel dedicated to news programming. It began broadcasts on 28 July 2016, and is owned by East West Media Group, a subsidiary of Bashundhara Group. News24 is based in the Bashundhara Residential Area in Baridhara.
