East Point City
East Point City () is a private housing estate and shopping centre in Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near the Hang Hau MTR station. Built on reclaimed land and developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the estate consists of seven high-rise buildings and a two-storey shopping centre. A large-scale renovation of the shopping centre was completed in 2008. Demographics According to the 2016 by-census, East Point City had a population of 7,054. The median age was 41.6 and the majority of residents (90.4 per cent) were of Chinese ethnicity. The average household size was 3.4 people. The median monthly household income of all households (i.e. including both economically active and inactive households) was HK$59,160. Tseung Kwan O
Tseung Kwan O New Town is one of the nine new towns in Hong Kong, built mainly on reclaimed land in the northern half of Junk Bay (known as Tseung Kwan O in Chinese/Cantonese language) in southeastern New Territories, after which it is named. The town/land area is usually known simply as Tseung Kwan O. Development of the new town was approved in 1982, with the initial population intake occurring in 1988. Private housing estate is a term used in Hong Kong for private mass housing – a housing estate developed by a private developer, as opposed to a public housing estate built by the Hong Kong Housing Authority or the Hong Kong Housing Society. It usually is characterised with a cluster of high-rise buildings, with its own market or shopping mall. JUSCO
is the acronym for Japan United Stores Company, a chain of "general merchandise stores" (or hypermarket) and the largest of its type in Japan. The various JUSCO companies are subsidiaries of the ÆON supermarket chain. The JUSCO name was adopted in 1970 from a company founded as a kimono silk trader in 1758. Sai Kung District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China.
