''EastEnders'' two-hander episodes are singular episodes of the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' that feature only two members of the cast for the duration. Scripted like mini-plays, two-hander episodes have become a tradition in ''EastEnders'' over the years, dating back to a groundbreaking episode in 1986, which featured publicans Den Watts and Angie Watts. William Boyde
William Boyde (born March 1953) is a British actor, best known for his work on the British soap opera ''EastEnders'' (1986–1989, 1992, 2017). He was educated at Cheltenham College where he appeared as an extra in the film If...which was filmed at the school. His character James Willmott-Brown became one of the soap's most renowned villains after raping barmaid Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) in 1988, and then terrorizing her in 1992. In September 2017, Boyde made an unannounced return to ''EastEnders'' and eventually departed on 28 December at the conclusion of his storyline - in which he was revealed as the boss of Max Branning (Jake Wood) in their vengeful plot to destroy the square. Christopher Hancock
Christopher Anthony Arthur Hancock (5 June 1928 – 29 September 2004) was a British television and theatre actor. He was born in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England. His brother was actor Stephen Hancock. He and his brother trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He was married to Ann Walford; the couple had two daughters before divorcing. Hancock began acting in the theatre in the 1960s and he had roles in plays such as ''Richard II'' and ''Measure for Measure'' (both 1965) and the musical ''Billy'' (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, 1974). He was then best known for playing conman Charlie Cotton in the popular BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' from 1986 until 1990. Charlie Cotton is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders'', played by Christopher Hancock. Charlie is a recurring character, introduced in March 1986 as the estranged husband of Dot Cotton (June Brown). The V-1 flying bomb (german: Vergeltungswaffe 1 "Vengeance Weapon 1") was an early cruise missile. Its official Ministry of Aviation (Nazi Germany), Reich Aviation Ministry () designation was Fi 103. John Michael Gibbon (born 27 January 1942) is an English television producer and Television director, director. He directed and produced the BBC televised soap opera, ''EastEnders''. He began directing the programme in 1985 and began producing the programme in 1988. He became the show's new producer following the departure of the show's creator and series producer Julia Smith (producer), Julia Smith. Due to personal conflict with the series' head, Peter Cregeen, he was replaced by Michael Ferguson (director), Michael Ferguson. Gretchen Franklin (7 July 1911 – 11 July 2005) was an English actress and dancer with a career in show business spanning over 70 years. She was born in Covent Garden, Central London. She played Ethel Skinner in the long-running BBC 1 soap opera ''EastEnders'' on a regular basis from 1985 until 1988. After this she returned to the show intermittently. Ethel Skinner
Ethel Skinner is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Gretchen Franklin. June Brown
June Muriel Brown (16 February 1927 – 3 April 2022) was an English actress and author. She was best known for her role as Dot Cotton on the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' (1985–1993; 1997–2020). In 2005, she won Best Actress at the ''Inside Soap'' Awards and received the Lifetime Achievement award at The British Soap Awards.
