Ean Evans
Donald "Ean" Wayne Evans (September 16, 1960– May 6, 2009) was the bassist for Lynyrd Skynyrd from 2001 until his death. He joined the band following the death of Leon Wilkeson. Life and career Evans was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He moved to Columbus, Mississippi, after marrying his wife, Eva. He started in music at the age of five, playing trumpet and having an orchestral background until his teen years. Picking up the guitar at 15, he was soon playing the southeastern rock circuit with various cover groups. A few years later, he switched to bass so as to bring a fellow guitarist into the band. In the 1980s, he played bass for rock band Five Miles High, along with Mike Reynolds (drummer), Reuban Lace (guitarist), Carl Brown (keyboardist) and Del Stockstill (guitar). Humble Pie (band)
Humble Pie are an English rock band formed by guitarist and singer Steve Marriott in Moreton, Essex, in 1969. They are known as one of the first supergroups of the late 1960s and found success in the early 1970s with songs such as " Black Coffee", " 30 Days in the Hole", " I Don't Need No Doctor", " Hot 'n' Nasty" and " Natural Born Bugie". ''The Meridian Star'' is a newspaper published in Meridian, Mississippi. Formerly a daily newspaper, it switched to a triweekly format in 2020, publishing on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. John Roy Van Zant (born February 27, 1959), also known as Johnny Van Zant, is an American singer and the current lead vocalist of Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. He is the younger brother of Lynyrd Skynyrd co-founder and former lead vocalist Ronnie Van Zant, and of the 38 Special founder Donnie Van Zant. Biography During the 1970s, Van Zant performed with his first band, the Austin Nickels Band. The Black Crowes are an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1984. Their discography includes eight studio albums, four live albums and several charting singles. Johnny Colt
Johnny Colt (born Charles Brandt; May 1, 1966) is an American bass guitar player who formerly played with the southern rock bands Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Black Crowes. Music career From 1989 he was the original bassist for The Black Crowes which formed in Atlanta, Georgia. Colt played on four full-length albums with the band and toured extensively. After leaving the Black Crowes in 1997 he went on to form the Brand New Immortals with guitarist David Ryan Harris and drummer Kenny Cresswell. Colt played bass for the American modern rock band Train from 2003–2006. In addition he joined Tommy Lee, becoming the permanent replacement for Jason Newsted (formerly of Metallica) in the band Rock Star Supernova. Robert Kearns (musician)
Robert Kearns is an American bassist who has played with several notable bands. He is from Conover, North Carolina. Biography Kearns was a founding member of Cry of Love from 1989 to 1997 and went on to join The Bottle Rockets from 1998 to 2005. In 2009, he was named as the touring substitute bassist for a cancer-stricken Ean Evans in Lynyrd Skynyrd. Evans subsequently died and was permanently replaced by Kearns (2009–2012). Kearns later formed Big Hat with friends Peter Stroud, Audley Freed, Keith Gattis and Fred Eltringham. Kearns left Lynyrd Skynyrd when Big Hat got the opportunity to play with Sheryl Crow, where Kearns acts as bass player and backup singer. Lung cancer, also known as lung carcinoma (since about 98–99% of all lung cancers are carcinomas), is a malignant lung tumor characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissue (biology), tissues of the lung.
