E Street Radio
E Street Radio is a Sirius XM Radio channel broadcasting on Sirius 20 as well as on Dish Network channel 6020. Its format concentrates on Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, including interviews, guest disc jockey sessions, studio outtakes, concert recordings, rarities and more. This was originally a Sirius-only channel, starting on November 1, 2005, to coincide with the release of ''Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition''. That run finished three months later on January 31, 2006. Sirius restarted E Street Radio on Channel 10 on September 27, 2007 in anticipation of his album ''Magic'' and the Magic Tour. It was programmed by Thomas Wilkinson Celebrities that are Springsteen fans often appear on the channel. Brian Williams, Tom Morello, Pete Yorn, Dr. Oz, and even E Street Band member Max Weinberg's son Jay Weinberg have appeared on the channel. Mehmet Cengiz Öz (; born June 11, 1960), known professionally as Dr. Oz (), is an Turkish American former professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Columbia University, television presenter, author and former political candidate. Wrecking Ball Tour
The Wrecking Ball World Tour was a concert tour by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to promote Springsteen's seventeenth studio album, ''Wrecking Ball'', which was released on March 5, 2012. It was the first tour for the E Street Band without founding member Clarence Clemons, who died on June 18, 2011. The worldwide tour in support of the album, which ended in September 2013, reached 26 countries, the most ever for one of Springsteen's tours. The tour was resumed in January 2014 however this time it was to promote his new album, '' High Hopes'' and went under that album's name. In an attempt to fill the void left by Clemons, Springsteen added a full horn section, which included Jake Clemons, Clarence's nephew. Three background singers and a percussionist were also added, giving the E Street Band its largest lineup ever at seventeen members. Jay Weinberg is an American musician and the current drummer for the heavy metal band Slipknot. He is the son of drummer Max Weinberg. He has played with the punk rock band the Reveling and toured in 2009 as a drummer with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, substituting for his father. During 2010, he was briefly the drummer for Madball. During 2011 and 2012, Weinberg played with Against Me!. In 2014, Weinberg replaced Joey Jordison as the drummer for Slipknot. Early life and education Weinberg is the son of drummer Max Weinberg, who joined the E Street Band in 1975; his mother, Rebecca "Becky" (Schick), was a former teacher. Max Weinberg (born April 13, 1951) is an American drummer and television personality, most widely known as the longtime drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and as the bandleader for Conan O'Brien on '' Late Night with Conan O'Brien'' and ''The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien''. He is the father of Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg. Weinberg grew up in suburban New Jersey and began drumming at an early age. He attended college planning to be a lawyer but got his big break in music in 1974 when he won an audition to become the drummer for Springsteen.
