''EP'' is the first extended play by American rapper Donald Glover under the name Childish Gambino. It was released for free digital download on March 8, 2011. It includes five songs produced by Gambino and Ludwig Göransson. ''EP'' preceded the release of Gambino's debut album, ''Camp'' (2011), which was released eight months later. On February 2, 2018, nearly 7 years later, the project was re-released for commercial consumption. Promotion The second track, "Freaks and Geeks", was released as a music video on February 25, 2011. Donald McKinley Glover Jr. (; born September 25, 1983), also known by his stage name Childish Gambino (), is an American entertainer, writer, director, and producer. After working in Derrick Comedy while studying at New York University, Glover was hired at age 23 by Tina Fey as a writer for the NBC sitcom '' 30 Rock''. He later rose to fame for portraying college student Troy Barnes on the NBC sitcom ''Community'' from 2009 to 2014. Glassnote Records (also known as Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC) is a record label that was launched by American music executive Daniel Glass in 2007. The label primarily has a lineup of indie rock and alternative rock artists, most notably Mumford & Sons and Phoenix. ''Culdesac'' is the fifth mixtape by American rapper Childish Gambino better known as Donald Glover, released July 3, 2010. The entire mixtape was self-produced with assistance from ''Community'' composer, Ludwig Göransson. It was originally meant to be released on July 2, but was delayed for one day due to last minute material. Like his other mixtapes, ''Culdesac'' was released for free download. ''Camp'' is the debut studio album by American recording artist Donald Glover, under his stage name Childish Gambino. It was released on November 15, 2011, by Glassnote Records. After releasing four mixtapes and three independent albums, Gambino signed a deal to Glassnote, making ''Camp'' his first album on a major record label. The album was co-produced in its entirety by Gambino's longtime collaborator Ludwig Göransson. The website also served as a digital music store from 2004 to 2008. History In 2004, Microsoft created an MSN Music download store to compete with Apple's iTunes Music Store, though its sales in comparison were negligible. The store utilized Microsoft's Windows Media Player application and proprietary Windows Media Format files (protected .wma files).
