Eyvindur Y. Kang (born 23 June 1971) is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist. His primary instrument is viola, but has also performed on violin, tuba, keyboards and others. In addition to his solo work, Kang has worked extensively with Bill Frisell and John Zorn. Biography Eyvindur Y. Kang was born 23 June 1971 in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Eyvind Hugo Wichmann (May 30, 1928 – February 16, 2019) was an American theoretical physicist. Life Wichmann studied in Finland (Institute of Technology, Helsinki, diploma 1950) and finished his master studies 1953 at the Columbia University, following that with his PhD 1956. From 1955 to 1957 he was at the Institute for Advanced Study. In 1957 he became assistant professor and 1967 professor for physics at the University of California, Berkeley. Emeritus since 1993. His research covers quantum field theory and quantum electrodynamics (both concrete problems of particle physics as well as axiomatic quantum field theory, in which he, in 1975, made the connection to the Tomita–Takesaki theory). He is well known as the author of the book on quantum physics in the ''Berkeley Physics Course''. Pehr Evind Svinhufvud af Qvalstad (; 15 December 1861 – 29 February 1944) was the third president of Finland from 1931 to 1937. Serving as a lawyer, judge, and politician in the Russian Grand Duchy of Finland, he played a major role in the movement for Finnish independence, he was one who presented the Declaration of Independence to the Parliament. In 1917–1918, Svinhufvud was the first Head of State of independent Finland, first as Chairman of the Senate and subsequently as Protector of State or Regent. Halvdan Eyvind Stokke (20 November 1900 – 15 December 1977), birth name Halvdan Eyvind Johannessen, commonly known as H. E. Stokke was a Norwegian railway director and Mayor of Oslo. Eyvind Stauri Solås (11 May 1937 – 22 April 2011) was a Norwegian musician, composer, actor and program host in NRK, both the Norwegian television and radio. Solås was instrumental in the establishment of the music and theater line subjects at Romerike Folk High School, where he was a professor in the late 1960s. Eyvind Mehle (13 September 1895 – 15 July 1945) was a Norwegian radio personality, media professor and Nazi collaborator. Background He was born as Eyvind Mæhle, but changed his last name in 1930. He was hired in 1925 in Kringkastingsselskapet, the first broadcaster of Norwegian radio. One of his specialities were half-hour lectures in the form of travel descriptions. He later joined the Norwegian Fascist party Nasjonal Samling in its first year of existence, 1933, and served as its press spokesperson for some years. On 9 April 1940 Norway was invaded by Nazi Germany, and a German occupation followed. On 25 September 1940, Mehle was named as director of verbal programs in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation radio.
