Eyvind Lambi or ''Eyvind Lamb'' was a Norwegian Viking and hersir of the late ninth and early tenth centuries, known from, among other sources, ''Egils saga''. Eyvind was the son of the Viking Berle-Kari and brother-in-law of Kveldulf Bjalfason, who married Eyvind's sister Salbjorg Karadottir; he was thus uncle to Skalla-Grímr and Thorolf Kveldulfsson and great uncle to the famous poet Egill Skallagrímsson. Eyvind also had a brother named Olvir Hnufa, who became a famous skald at the court of King Harald I of Norway. Eyvindur Y. Kang (born 23 June 1971) is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist. His primary instrument is viola, but has also performed on violin, tuba, keyboards and others. In addition to his solo work, Kang has worked extensively with Bill Frisell and John Zorn. Biography Eyvindur Y. Kang was born 23 June 1971 in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Eyvind Alnæs (29 April 1872 – 24 December 1932) was a Norwegian composer, pianist, organist and choir director. Personal life Alnæs was born in Fredrikstad, as the son of headmaster Johannes Jørgen Lauritz Alnæs (1835–1916) and Elise Martine Hansen (1851–1931). He married Emilie Thorne (1882–1976) in 1903. He was the father of author Lise Børsum, and grandfather of novelist Finn Alnæs and artist Bente Børsum. Career In 1888 he was enrolled at the Music and Organist School in Oslo (''Musikkonservatoriet i Oslo''). Alnæs studied piano with Westye Waaler, organ with Peter Brynie Lindeman as well as harmony, counterpoint and composition with Iver Holter. Eyvind Stauri Solås (11 May 1937 – 22 April 2011) was a Norwegian musician, composer, actor and program host in NRK, both the Norwegian television and radio. Solås was instrumental in the establishment of the music and theater line subjects at Romerike Folk High School, where he was a professor in the late 1960s. He later worked for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation from 1969-2002 where he hosted the TV series ''Musikknytt'' from 1972-1986. Eyvind Hugo Wichmann (May 30, 1928 – February 16, 2019) was an American theoretical physicist. Life Wichmann studied in Finland (Institute of Technology, Helsinki, diploma 1950) and finished his master studies 1953 at the Columbia University, following that with his PhD 1956.
