Eydhafushi
Eydhafushi ( Dhivehi: އޭދަފުށި) is the capital of Baa Atoll. The island is geographically located at the southern edge of Baa Atoll (Southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll or Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi). It has the highest population in the atoll and most of the government offices and public facilities. History Little is known about the history of Eydhafushi. The island's current population has been pretty recent, with estimated immigration of nearby islanders from the 17th–19th century. In the 1968, people from the nearby Maaddoo island, Funadhoo and Undoodhoo were immigrated to Eydhafushi under the supervision of the Maldivian government as they sought a better standard of living. Ali Fasir
Ali Fasir ( dv, ޢަލީ ފާސިރު; born 4 September 1988) nicknamed "Sentey", is a Maldivian footballer who plays as a winger or striker for Club Valencia, which he captains, and the Maldives national team. Fasir began his career at Club Eagles after being spotted by the club during their training camps. He played one season with the club and spent a year without a club until he was offered from Club All Youth Linkage. He played a major role to promote his side from second division to Dhivehi League. Fasir had an impressive Dhivehi League debut season and then signed for the most successful Dhivehi League team Club Valencia for the following season. In the 2011 season, Fasir signed for New Radiant and had a breakthrough year scoring 18 goals from 23 appearances. Baa Atoll
Baa Atoll (includes Southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll or Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi, Fasdhūtherē Atoll, and Goifulhafehendhu Atoll) is an administrative division of the Maldives. It consists of three separate natural atolls, namely southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll (which is 42 km long and 32 km wide and consists of 9 inhabited islands), the Fasdūtherē Atoll (wedged in between the two Maalhosmadulu Atolls and separated from north Maalhosmasdulu Atoll by Hani Kandu or Moresby Channel) and the smaller natural atoll known as Goifulhafehendhu Atoll (Horsburgh Atoll in the Admiralty charts). The Administrative Divisions of the Maldives refers to the various units of government that provide local government services in the Maldives. According to the Decentralization Act 2010, the administrative divisions of the Maldives would consist of atolls, islands, and cities; each administered by their own local council, under the basic terms of home rule. Geographically, the Maldives are formed by a number of natural atolls plus a few islands and isolated reefs which form a pattern from North to South. Administratively, there are currently 189 islands, 18 atolls and 4 cities in the Maldives. Baa Atoll Education Centre
Baa Atoll Education Centre (Dhivehi language, Dhivehi : ބ. އަތޮޅު ތަޢުލީމީ މަރުކަޒު ), the first Maldives, Maldivian Public school (government funded), government school established outside of Malé, was inaugurated on February 24, 1978, by the then Minister of Education Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi. In 1976, the foundation was laid in collaboration with UNICEF. It first began with 58 students and 3 teachers, it now has 1137 students and a staff of 106. The People's Majlis ( dv, ރައްޔިތުންގެ މަޖިލިސް; ''Rayyithunge Majilis'') is the unicameral legislative body of Maldives. Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi
Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi (alternative name: ''Amir Abdul Sattar Faamudheyri Kilegefaanu'') was Maldivian diplomat and politician. He was born 1936 or 1937. He died in November 2015 in Bangkok. Life Didi started his public service career as secretary at the Representative Office of the Maldives in Colombo in 1957. Then from 1960 to 1967 he was the representative in Ceylon.
