Extraordinary Ways
''Extraordinary Ways'' is an album by Canadian electronic music project Conjure One. Released in August 2005, it was the second album for the project headed by Rhys Fulber. Release and promotion The album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions. ACIDplanet.com released the complete multitracks to "Face the Music" in a remix competition that ran from December 2005 through January 2006. The winning remix by Erick Muise received inclusion on the promo release of the "Face the Music" single. Conjure One
Conjure One is a Canadian electronic music project, headed by Rhys Fulber, better known as a member of Front Line Assembly and Delerium. History After performing with Front Line Assembly at the 1996 Roskilde Festival, Fulber left the band to pursue a solo career. He set up a studio in Amsterdam; the influence of life there, and traveling to the Eastern Mediterranean, gave him the idea of an ethnic ambient project. Soon after, a debut album was announced, though Fulber's work as a producer and remixer eventually pushed its release to September 2002. The self-titled album was a fusion of the electronic characteristics of Fulber's previous work—keyboard-based, with rhythmic dance beats—and the influences of Middle Eastern music, which inspired ambient melodies more reminiscent of Delerium. Multitrack Recording
Multitrack recording (MTR), also known as multitracking or tracking, is a method of sound recording developed in 1955 that allows for the separate recording of multiple sound sources or of sound sources recorded at different times to create a cohesive whole. Multitracking became possible in the mid-1950s when the idea of simultaneously recording different audio channels to separate discrete "tracks" on the same reel-to-reel tape was developed. A "track" was simply a different channel recorded to its own discrete area on the tape whereby their relative sequence of recorded events would be preserved, and playback would be simultaneous or synchronized. A multitrack recorder allows one or more sound sources to different tracks to be simultaneously recorded, which may subsequently be processed and mixed separately. She has recorded or performed live with bands including Abandoned Pools, Front Line Assembly, Paradise Lost, Delerium, Conjure One and Pink. Background Born Leah Rose Randi on September 11, 1970, in Los Angeles, she is the daughter of the musician Don Randi and Norma Waterman. Career Randi has performed on ''Saturday Night Live'', ''The Tonight Show'' and ''The Ellen DeGeneres Show'' as part of Pink's band, playing bass on songs such as " God Is a DJ". Tiffany "Tiff" Lacey (born 29 October 1965) is an English trance and electronic dance music (EDM) vocal singer, songwriter, author, and painter. She is the vocalist on several electronic music singles. Best known for her international singles with German producer André Tanneberger (a.k.a. ATB) and for her work with British producer Don Jackson (a.k.a. Headstrong), Matt Darey, and Cosmic Gate. Nicholas John Arthur Holmes (born 7 January 1971) is an English singer, best known as the lead vocalist of British gothic metal/ doom metal band Paradise Lost and Swedish death metal band Bloodbath. History and style Holmes formed Paradise Lost in late 1988 when he and the other band members were barely out of secondary school. Solar Twins were an English electronic music duo with Joanna Stevens (vocals) and David Norland (producer/all instruments/vocals). Pete Shelley
Pete Shelley (born Peter Campbell McNeish; 17 April 1955 – 6 December 2018) was an English singer, songwriter and guitarist. He formed early punk band Buzzcocks with Howard Devoto in 1976, and became the lead singer and guitarist in 1977 when Devoto left. The group released their biggest hit "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)" in 1978. The band broke up in 1981 and reformed at the end of the decade. Shelley also had a solo career; his song " Homosapien" charted in the US in 1981. Biography Shelley was born to Margaret and John McNeish at 48 Milton Street, in Leigh, Lancashire. Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in Bolton, England in 1976 by singer-songwriter-guitarist Pete Shelley and singer-songwriter Howard Devoto. They are regarded as a seminal influence on the Manchester music scene, the independent record label movement, punk rock, power pop, and pop punk.
