KMFDM
KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!. German guitarist Günter Schulz joined in 1990; both he and Esch continued with the band until KMFDM broke up in 1999. Konietzko resurrected KMFDM in 2002 (Esch and Schulz declined to rejoin) on Metropolis Records, and by 2005 he had assembled a consistent line-up that included American singer Lucia Cifarelli, British guitarists Jules Hodgson and Steve White, and British ...

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult (often shortened to Thrill Kill Kult or TKK) is an American electronic industrial rock band originally based in Chicago and founded by Groovie Mann (born Frankie Nardiello) and Buzz McCoy (born Marston Daley). They became known in the 1980s as pioneers of the industrial music genre – although by the early 1990s they had changed to a more disco-oriented sound – and as a frequent target of censorship groups, including the PMRC, which objected to the band's humorous and satirical references to Satan, Jesus and sex in their song lyrics and stage shows. During the early 1990s, Thrill Kill Kult had several hits on the U.S. dance club and alternative charts. They also contributed songs to several movie soundtracks and appeared in the 1994 film ''The Crow''. The band has continued to record and tour with a rotating lineup in addition to core members Mann and McCoy. In 2017, the band celebrated its 30th anniversary. History Nardiello and Daley met i ...

Godlike (song)
"Godlike" is a song by industrial rock band KMFDM from their 1990 album ''Naïve''. Background According to KMFDM frontman Sascha Konietzko, the song made its debut during KMFDM's 1990 tour with industrial metal band Ministry, being based on the lyrics by Patti Smith. When Koneitzko's bandmate En Esch, who had been singing the song live, was injured during a fire, Konietzko had to use new lyrics, as he didn't know the original words. He translated a German spoken word piece the band had been using at their live shows into English, and used the translation as the new lyrics. After the tour, the band recorded a version for their album ''Naïve'' with a group of performers from other Wax Trax! Records bands. Later, Konietzko re-recorded a more electronic version for the single. The track heavily features a sampled guitar riff from " Angel of Death" by Californian thrash metal band Slayer. This sample is looped from the beginning of "Godlike" and is heard almost continuously throu ...

"More & Faster" is a KMFDM single released in 1989. The songs on this release also appeared on some European versions of '' UAIOE'', and alternate versions of "More & Faster" and "Rip the System" both appeared on ''UAIOE''. In 2008, KMFDM Records re-released this as a 7" vinyl single, limited to 250 copies. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Cromagnon, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal. The genre was made more accessible to mainstream audiences in the 1990s with the aid of acts such as Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, both of which have released platinum-selling records. History Origins (late 1970s and 1980s) Richie Unterberger assessed the Red Krayola as "a precursor to industrial rock" with their 1967 record ''The Parable of Arable Land'' exhibiting music made by 50 people on anything from industrial power tools to a revving motorcycle whilst ''Pitchfork'''s Alex Lindhart assessed their 1968 follow up ...
