''Exposures – In Retrospect and Denial'' is a compilation album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, that was released in 2004. Disc 1 Tracks 1 and 2 were recorded during the ''Damage Done'' sessions in 2002. Track 1 had been unreleased, and track 2 had been only available on the Japanese version of the album. Disc 1 Tracks 3-5 were recorded during the '' Haven'' sessions in 2000. Tracks 3 and 4 had been unreleased, and track 5 had been only available on the Japanese version of the album. Disc 1 Tracks 6 and 7 were recorded during the ''Projector'' sessions in 1998. Track 6 had been available on the limited digipak edition of the album, and track 7 was on a Limited Edition of this album. Dark Tranquillity
Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg. They are considered one of the pioneering acts of the Gothenburg metal scene, which also includes bands such as In Flames and At the Gates. Dark Tranquillity is regarded as the Gothenburg fathers in the film entitled ''Out of Nothing: A DT Documentary'' released by Century Media, which was filmed in their home town in April 2009. Background Early years and ''Skydancer'' (1989–1993) Dark Tranquillity was formed in 1989 by current vocalist and then-guitarist Mikael Stanne, and guitarist Niklas Sundin, under the name Septic Broiler. Martin Henriksson
Hans Martin Knut Henriksson (born 30 October 1974) is a former Swedish musician best known for his work with death metal band Dark Tranquillity and was one of the original members, and the main songwriter for the band until he left them in 2016. Biography When Dark Tranquillity formed in 1989 Henriksson was the bassist up until 1999. He switched to guitar when their ex-guitarist Fredrik Johansson quit, but recorded bass again once on ''Construct'' when the band had no bassist at the time. He composed much of the band's music throughout his tenure, especially between ''Projector'' and ''Fiction''. Although Henriksson had been inactive with the band since 2015 it wasn't until January 2016 that he started to realize he didn't want to be in the band anymore. Anders Fridén
Pär Anders Fridén (born 25 March 1973) is a Swedish vocalist, best known as the lead singer of Heavy metal music, heavy metal band In Flames. He was also the vocalist of Dark Tranquillity and Passenger (Swedish band), Passenger, a side project. Career Early career Fridén was originally the vocalist for Dark Tranquillity. He performed on their debut album, Skydancer (Dark Tranquillity album), Skydancer, but left the band soon after. Two years later he joined In Flames. Coincidentally Mikael Stanne had left In Flames (being only a session player) and switched from rhythm guitar to lead vocals in Dark Tranquillity, so the two effectively traded places. Fredrik Johansson (guitarist)
Fredrik Johansson (25 June 1974 – 25 January 2022) was a Swedish guitarist. Biography Johansson was a member of melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity for almost six years. He joined in 1993 after the band's vocalist at the time, Anders Fridén, left the band and their rhythm guitarist Mikael Stanne took the vocalist role to solely focus on it, leaving an empty rhythm guitarist spot, which Fredrik took. Prior to the release of ''Projector'' in 1999, he was asked to leave Dark Tranquillity due to a lack of commitment to the band, stemming from the fact that he wanted to become a family man. There is a common misconception of him based on a shared name with another Swedish session guitarist from All Ends, who was actually the one to perform lead guitar on the In Flames song "December Flower" from the album ''The Jester Race''.
