Exit Wounds (The Haunted Album)
''Exit Wounds'' is the eighth studio album by Swedish metal band The Haunted, released on 25 August 2014. The album marks a return to their more heavy and aggressive sound after the alternative metal-influenced previous album ''Unseen''. It is the first album released since former members Marco Aro (vocals) and Adrian Erlandsson (drums) rejoined the band and the first studio album to feature Ola Englund on guitar. Reception The album received a positive review from Chuck Loesch of Metal Injection. Al Kikuras of AngryMetalGuy.com described it as a "fine return to form" giving the album 4.5 out of 5.0. Jonathan Barkan of BloodyDisgusting.com also gave the album a positive review, ending with "''Exit Wounds'' is the album that discouraged fans of The Haunted have been waiting and yearning for." The Haunted (Swedish Band)
The Haunted is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1996. The original members were Anders and Jonas Björler, Peter Dolving, Adrian Erlandsson and Patrik Jensen. Both of the Björler brothers and Erlandsson were members of the seminal melodic death metal band At the Gates, a pioneering force in the Swedish death metal scene. History Formation and ''The Haunted''; first Dolving-era (1996–1999) On 27 July 1996, Patrik Jensen co-created the band with Adrian Erlandsson, who had just become an ex-member of his former band, At the Gates, due to the band's split the day before. Thrash Metal

Melodic Death Metal
Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). The genre features the heaviness of death metal but with highly melodic or harmonized guitar riffs and solos, and often features high-pitched shrieked vocals (differing from traditional death metal) alongside the low-pitched growls commonly featured in traditional death metal. ''Unseen'' is the seventh studio album by Swedish metal band the Haunted, released on 16 March 2011. The album begins to experiment with a more rock-influenced alternative metal sound mixed with their usual groove metal and melodic death metal sound. While in the process of creating the album, vocalist Peter Dolving, in an interview, predicted, "It's going to be epic. Danceable. Groovy. And very very arty farty metal. With this next record we are going to be taking a piss in the general direction of all the crappy 99.9 percent of generic contemporary Mr. Goatse jerks out there". Jonas Fredrik Björler (born 26 February 1973) is a Swedish musician and the bass player of the melodic death metal bands At the Gates and The Haunted. He was formerly in the bands Demolition, Infestation and Terror. Adrian Erlandsson
Adrian Erlandsson (born 27 October 1970) is a Swedish heavy metal drummer who is a member of At the Gates (1990–1996, 2007–2008, 2010–), the Haunted (1996–1999, 2013–), and Nemhain (2006–). He has also been a member of H.E.A.L. (1994–1996), Hyperhug (1994–1996), Decameron (1997), Cradle of Filth (1999–2006), Needleye (2006–?), Brujeria (2006–2013), Netherbird (2007–2010), and Paradise Lost (2009–2016). Erlandsson currently resides in London where he owns a photo studio. Biography Erlandsson was born in Malmö to a Swedish father with Romanian roots. Ola "The Swede" Englund (born 27 September 1981) is a Swedish guitarist, record producer, YouTuber, and the owner of Solar guitars. He is a founding-member of the band Feared, plays lead guitar in the Swedish metal band The Haunted, and is a former member of the band Six Feet Under.
