Exit 111 Festival
The Exit 111 Festival was a music festival that was held from October 11 to 13, 2019 at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee, the site of the annual Bonnaroo festival. The festival, which takes its name from its proximity to the Exit 111 interchange on Interstate 24, consisted mostly of hard rock and heavy metal artists, with Guns N' Roses headlining on Sunday, Def Leppard on Saturday, and Lynyrd Skynyrd on Friday. Description The festival, announced in April 2019, consisted of performances by multiple artists including Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Slayer, Deftones, Ghost, Mastodon and many more. Deftones
Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. They were formed by Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. Edward Scott Trunk (born August 8, 1964) is an American music historian, radio personality, talk show host, and author, best known as the host of several hard rock- and heavy metal-themed radio and television shows. Biography Trunk was born on August 8, 1964, in Summit, New Jersey. He grew up in Madison, New Jersey, where he attended Madison High School. As a teenager, Trunk became a fan of Kiss, Raspberries, and other bands including Aerosmith, Rush, UFO and Black Sabbath.
