''Excuse Me'' is the debut studio album by Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral. It was released in Portugal on 2 August 2016, peaking at number 1 on the Portuguese Albums Chart in May 2017, following Sobral's victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The album includes the singles " Excuse Me" and " Nem Eu", the latter being a cover of a 1952 song of the same name by Brazilian samba singer-songwriter Dorival Caymmi. Salvador Thiam Vilar Braamcamp Sobral (; born 28 December 1989) is a Portuguese singer, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 for with the song "Amar pelos dois," written and composed by his sister, Luísa Sobral. In doing so, he gave its first ever win in the contest since its debut in , ending the longest winless run by a country in Eurovision history (53 years). Sobral and his entry hold the Eurovision record for the highest-scoring winner, having earned a total of 758 points under the current voting system, after winning both the jury vote and televote. Dorival Caymmi (; April 30, 1914 – August 16, 2008) was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, actor, and painter active for more than 70 years, beginning in 1933. He contributed to the birth of Brazil's bossa nova movement, and several of his samba pieces, such as "''Samba da Minha Terra''", "''Doralice''" and "''Saudade da Bahia''", have become staples of ''música popular brasileira.'' Equally notable are his ballads celebrating the fishermen and women of Bahia, including "''Promessa de Pescador''", "''O Que É Que a Baiana Tem?''", and "''Milagre''". The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. UK Album Downloads Chart
The UK Album Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The chart was introduced in April 2006 to coincide with the OCC's decision to include sales of album downloads in the UK Albums Chart. The first album to top the download chart was ''This New Day'' by Embrace. "After You've Gone" is a 1918 popular song composed by Turner Layton with lyrics by Henry Creamer. History It was recorded by Marion Harris on July 22, 1918, and released by Victor Records. The song became so popular that the sheet music was later decorated with tiny photographs of the 45 men who made the song famous, including Paul Whiteman, Rudy Vallée, B.A. Rolfe, Guy Lombardo, and Louis Armstrong. Composition The chorus adheres to a standard ABAC pattern but is only 20 measures long. There are four 4-bar phrases, followed by a 4 measure tag. The song is harmonically active, with chord changes almost every measure.
