Excision (musician)
Jeff Abel (born 29 April 1986), better known by his stage name Excision, is a Canadian producer and disc jockey. He is the founder of Rottun Recordings and Subsidia Records. Active since 2006, his first release, "Warning", was in 2007. He released an annual "Shambhala" mix album in the third quarter of each year until 2016. He started his own music festival (Lost Lands) the following year and releases annual mixes. He is known for his tours with immense sound systems and huge visual productions. Abel founded the record label Destroid Music. Upon its debut, Destroid released a full-length digital album titled ''The Invasion''. The majority of tracks on the album were produced by Excision, with collaborations with other artists such as Datsik, Downlink, Space Laces, Far Too Loud, Bassnectar and Ajapai. Nicholas Daniel Miller (born December 26, 1990), professionally known as Illenium, is an American DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He has released four studio albums, his most recent being '' Fallen Embers'', released in July 2021. It earned Illenium his first Grammy nomination. One of Illenium's more notable albums, ''Ascend'', was released in August 2019 on Astralwerks. "Gold (Stupid Love)" is a song by Canadian producer and DJ Excision and American musician, DJ and producer Illenium, featuring American singer-songwriter Shallows. It was released on 17 July 2018 by Abel's record label Excision Music and was distributed by Caption Records. Background and release Near the end of March, Illenium tweeted that he and Excision were working together, with Excision teasing a project file on Instagram a month later. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. Pegboard Nerds is a Scandinavian electronic music group, consisting of Norwegian DJ Alexander Odden and Danish DJ Michael Parsberg. The name Pegboard Nerds is an anagram of the duo's surnames, Odden and Parsberg. The duo first met in 2005 and formed the group in 2011. Previously, their records were released under separate projects and both have been producing since the 1990s. Luciana Caporaso (born 23 June 1973), simply known as Luciana, is a British singer. She is of English and Italian heritage. Career 1994–2006: Acting and ''One More River'' Caporaso made her acting debut in 1994, in the final episode on the short lived British TV series, ''Anna Lee''. On the show, she sang the track "Sister Sister" and other incidental songs. ''Cold Blooded'' is an EP by Canadian dubstep producer and artist Troy Beetles, better known as Datsik. It was released on January 22, 2013 in the US through his own label, Firepower Records. Although the extended play's full title, ''Cold Blooded EP (Part One)'', implies being the first of a series of EPs, it is confirmed to be followed by his second studio album, '' Let It Burn LP (Part Two)''. The first official single from the EP is "Vindicate", which was produced with Excision. It was released on January 8, 2013. Destroid
Destroid were a dubstep supergroup and live dubstep band consisting of Excision (production and midi-guitars), Downlink (production and midi-guitars), and Pendulum drummer KJ Sawka, with collaboration from Space Laces and Ajapai. The band released two singles and two albums on their independent label, Destroid Music. Destroid also performed live music shows. Destroid promoted their dubstep music with online videos, social media marketing, and online graphic novels and a web page called "The Elevated", using the tagline "elevate your existence". Timeline Destroid was formed after several years of Excision's North American tours, as well as collaborations with Downlink for nu-metal band Korn. Excision and Downlink began work on the initial music production for Destroid, and then enlisted Pendulum's KJ Sawka to round out the line up.
