Excalibur Hotel
Excalibur Hotel and Casino is a casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, in the United States. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by MGM Resorts International. Excalibur, named for the mythical sword of King Arthur, uses the medieval theme in several ways. Its facade is a stylized image of a castle (see also: List of castles in the United States). Until 2007, a wizard-like figure representing Merlin looked out from a high turret (since replaced by a figure advertising Dick's Last Resort). Excalibur is situated at the Tropicana – Las Vegas Boulevard intersection. Dick's Last Resort
Dick's Last Resort is a bar and restaurant chain in the United States, known for its intentional employment of an obnoxious staff. The chain consists of seventeen restaurants. The restaurant has its origins in Dallas with the original owner, Dick Chase's opening of a " fine-dining" establishment in 1985. The establishment was a complete failure, which resulted in bankruptcy. Rather than continue with the upscale restaurant motif, Dick retooled his efforts and decided to "go sloppy." Chase's likeness is still featured on their T-shirts and promotional materials. The end result was a success, leading to the creation of more locations. In 1995, the company attempted to expand to Europe and opened a restaurant in London, but the effort was abandoned and the restaurant was sold in early 1996. Over the years there have been several casinos and resorts planned for the Las Vegas Valley that never opened. The stages of planning may have been an announcement or groundbreaking. Alon Las Vegas A proposed luxury hotel and casino to be built on the Las Vegas Strip, on the former site of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino. The project was announced in 2015, but was put in doubt after Crown Resorts announced in late 2016 it was suspending its involvement in the development. Mandalay Bay is a 43-story luxury resort and casino at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned by Vici Properties and The Blackstone Group and operated by MGM Resorts International. It was developed by Circus Circus Enterprises and completed at a cost of $950 million.
