It is a development of many of My Dying Bride's older musical themes and riffs, which were re-written for a variety of classical instruments, rather than the traditional metal music instruments; these riffs were combined with new vocals and musics written and arranged by Jonny Maudling (song writer/keyboard player of Kull and Bal-Sagoth) based on My Dying Bride's key works, thus creating a release characteristic of both a studio album and a remix album. My Dying Bride
My Dying Bride are an English doom metal band formed in Bradford. Since their inception in 1990, they have released 13 studio albums, three EPs, one demo, one box set, four compilation albums, one live album, and one live CD/DVD release. Along with Anathema and Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride were a forerunner of the death doom metal and gothic metal genres during the early 1990s. These bands comprise "The Peaceville Three" as all were signed to Peaceville Records at the time. History Early years (1990–1992) My Dying Bride was formed in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, in June 1990, after guitarist Andrew Craighan and drummer Rick Miah co-formed the band after they had split from Abiosis, joining vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe and guitarist Calvin Robertshaw while ending Abiosis. ''Bring Me Victory'' is an EP by the heavy metal band My Dying Bride. "Bring Me Victory" is a song from My Dying Bride's previous album, For Lies I Sire; a video was made for the song and released on this EP. "Scarborough Fair", an English traditional song, has two additional verses incorporated into it written by Aaron Stainthorpe. "Failure" is a cover of a song written by Swans. The original version had long been a highly respected song among the members of the band. "Vast Choirs" is a live version of a song originally released on My Dying Bride's first album, As The Flower Withers, and since included on several compilation releases. This is the first release to feature Shaun Macgowan on keyboards and violins (on tracks 2 and 3), since he replaced Katie Stone's position in the band. Jonny Maudling
Jonny Maudling (born Jonathan Maudling) is an English composer, keyboard player and former drummer for the band Bal-Sagoth, keyboardist with the band Kull, former bassist with the unsigned UK thrash band Igniter, and frequent collaborator with the band My Dying Bride. Maudling's primary instruments are Roland synthesizers when playing live. He comes from a musical family and was classically trained on piano from an early age. He has contributed to three My Dying Bride studio albums, provided session orchestration on material by Sermon of Hypocrisy, and played guest keyboards on a full-length release by the Ukrainian metal band Semargl. He composed music for the video game Adellion. Currently Maudling is a producer and engineer, operating his own recording studio called Waylands Forge Studios in Yorkshire, England. A remix album is an album consisting of remixes or rerecorded versions of an artist's earlier released material. The first act who employed the format was American singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson (''Aerial Pandemonium Ballet'', 1971). As of 2007, the best-selling remix album of all time is Michael Jackson's ''Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix'' (1997). Like Gods Of The Sun
''Like Gods of the Sun'' is the fourth album by My Dying Bride released in 1996, and the last album by the band to feature Rick Miah, who left the band in 1997, on drums and Martin Powell on keyboards and violins. Like its predecessor ''The Angel and the Dark River'' this album has completely clean vocals. A video was filmed for "For You" and appears on the VHS and DVD of For Darkest Eyes. Singer Aaron Stainthorpe has stated many times that this is his favorite MDB album. The track "A Kiss To Remember" has become a regular in the band's live setlist. The song "For My Fallen Angel" is strictly an orchestral composition with sections of violin and synth, and has an extract from a poem called Venus and Adonis by the English poet and playwright William Shakespeare. The Japanese and limited digipak editions of the album feature the bonus remix "It Will Come (Nightmare Mix)". Piano

Turn Loose The Swans
''Turn Loose the Swans'' is the second album by the British doom metal band My Dying Bride, released in 1993. It marked a radical departure from the band's first full-length, ''As the Flower Withers''. Martin Powell's violin playing had become fully integrated into the band's sound, whilst vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe mixed death metal growls and grunts with the spoken word and an often plaintive singing voice. The first ("Sear Me MCMXCIII") and final ("Black God") tracks dispensed with guitars, bass and drums altogether, while the album was also far slower and longer than its predecessor.
