Evin Nolan
Michael Evin Nolan (21 July 1930 – 22 July 2016) was an Irish abstract painter and sculptor. He was much inspired by Henri Matisse, Piet Mondrian, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso and Jacques Lipchitz. Terenure College
Terenure College is a Carmelite-run secondary school located in the suburb of Terenure, Dublin, Ireland. The school was founded in 1860 and had an associated primary school until 2017. It is one of the "big six" Leinster Schools Rugby-playing institutions, winning the Leinster Schools Senior Cup 10 times. 80% of the students who sat the Leaving Certificate in 2007 accepted a place in an Irish university. Dermot Seymour
Dermot Seymour ''RUA'' (b.1956) is a Northern Irish painter, an elected member of Aosdána and an Academician of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts. His work explores a variety of themes relating to conflict, symbolism and identity in Northern Ireland. Life & work Dermot Seymour was born and raised on the lower Shankill Road in Belfast. Seymour studied graphic design at the Ulster Polytechnic between 1975–78, where he was to return in 1981 attaining an Advanced Diploma in Art and Design. Seymour's work is a reaction to growing up at the height of The Troubles. He juxtaposes idyllic landscapes with a host of other elements, ranging from farm animals to military helicopters, exploring symbolism and identity to show the absurdities inherent in Northern Irish society. Seán Hillen
Seán Hillen born 1961, in Ireland, is an artist whose work includes collages, photography and the creative use of photographs. Early life Seán Hillen was born in Newry, a border town on the Republic of Ireland–United Kingdom border in County Down, Northern Ireland in 1961. Hillen grew up during the Troubles, which he described as "utter chaos". When he was a teenager his parents bought him his first camera to encourage his interest in photography and prevent him from being drawn into the conflict. Hillen studied at the Belfast College of Art. In 1982, he travelled to London to continue his studies at the London College of Printing, and then at the Slade School of Fine Art.
