Evgeny Tarelkin
Evgeny Igorevich Tarelkin (russian: Евгений Игоревич Тарелкин; born December 29, 1974) is a Russian cosmonaut. He was selected as part of the TsPK-13 group in 2003. Education Tarelkin graduated from the Yeysk Air Force School in 1996 and the Gagarin Air Force Academy in 1998 before rising to the rank of Captain in the Russian Air Force. Cosmonaut career He served in the Air Force until his selection as a cosmonaut as part of the TsPK-13 selection group in 2003, completing basic training in 2005. Tarelkin made his first flight into space in October 2012 as a member of the Soyuz TMA-06M crew, during which he spent six months aboard the International Space Station as part of the Expedition 33 Expedition 33 was the 33rd long-duration expedition to the International Space Station (ISS). Astronaut
An astronaut (from the Ancient Greek (), meaning 'star', and (), meaning 'sailor') is a person trained, equipped, and deployed by a human spaceflight program to serve as a commander or crew member aboard a spacecraft. Although generally reserved for professional space travelers, the term is sometimes applied to anyone who travels into space, including scientists, politicians, journalists, and tourists. SIRIUS (Scientific International Research In Unique Terrestrial Station)
Scientific International Research in Unique Terrestrial Station (SIRIUS) is a series of experiments that investigate the effects of isolation and simulates a flight to the moon at the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IBMP) in Moscow, Russia. The first of the series started in 2017. Following the 2019 122-day experiment will be an eight-month experiment in 2020, and a twelve-month experiment in 2021 in which the European Space Agency will participate. A comprehensive catalog of vehicles, technology, astronauts, and flights, it includes information from most countries that have had an active rocket research program, from Robert Goddard to the NASA Space Shuttle and the Soviet Buran programme. Founded in 1994 and maintained for most of its existence by space enthusiast and author Mark Wade. He has been collecting such information for most of his life. Between 1996 and 2000 the site was hosted by ''Friends and Partners in Space''. The site is no longer updated or maintained and is now considered as partially unreliable. Yeysk (russian: Ейск) is a port and a resort town in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, situated on the shore of the Taganrog Gulf of the Sea of Azov. The town is built primarily on the Yeysk Spit, which separates the Yeya River from the Sea of Azov.
