Archie Eves
Archie Parvin Eves (February 27, 1876 – October 18, 1958)California Death Records 1940–1997 was an American college football coach. He served as the fourth head football coach at Buchtel College—now known as the University of Akron—helming the team for one season in 1899 and compiling a record of 2–1. Ernie Eves
Ernest Larry Eves (born June 17, 1946) is a Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the 23rd premier of Ontario from 2002 to 2003. A Progressive Conservative, he took over the premiership upon Mike Harris's resignation as party leader, but the party was defeated in the 2003 election by the Liberals, under Dalton McGuinty. Eves was born in Windsor, Ontario, to a working-class family. He studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School and practised law in his own firm, Green & Eves. He was elected in the northern Ontario riding of Parry Sound in 1981 by a margin of six votes but retained the seat for 20 years. He served briefly as a cabinet minister in the short-lived government of Frank Miller in 1985, but he was consigned to the opposition benches when the Tories were defeated in a motion of no confidence by an alliance of the opposition Liberal and New Democrats. Howard Eves
Howard Whitley Eves (10 January 1911, New Jersey – 6 June 2004) was an American mathematician, known for his work in geometry and the history of mathematics. Eves received his B.S. from the University of Virginia, an M.A. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Oregon State University in 1948, the last with a dissertation titled ''A Class of Projective Space Curves'' written under Ingomar Hostetter. He then spent most of his career at the University of Maine, 1954–1976. In later life, he occasionally taught at University of Central Florida. Eves was a strong spokesman for the Mathematical Association of America, which he joined in 1942, and whose Northeast Section he founded. For 25 years he edited the Elementary Problems section of the ''American Mathematical Monthly''. He solved over 300 problems proposed in various mathematical journals. Luke Eves
Luke Eves (born 11 April 1989 in Bristol, England) is a rugby union player who currently plays for Hartpury College in the RFU Championship. He plays as a centre. He has Premiership experience with Bristol as well as Newcastle Falcons. His father is former Bristol Rugby captain, Derek Eves. Melvyn James Eves (born 10 September 1956) is an English former professional footballer who had a long career playing as a striker and left sided attacker, mostly known for his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Career Eves, born in the Miners Arms pub, Darlaston and brought up in the Red Lion in Wednesfield was educated at Wolverhampton Grammar School from 1968 to 1975 when he represented England as a Schoolboy International before joining Wolves who he had supported as a boy. 1977-78 Season He eventually made his debut at the age of 21 on 26 November 1977 against Ipswich Town at Molineux in the First Division. Reginald Eves
Reginald Grenville Eves (24 May 1876 – 13 June 1941) was a British painter who made portraits of many prominent military, political and cultural figures between the two world wars. Biography Eves was born in 1876, the son of William Henry Eves, a London Justice of the Peace, JP. He was educated at University College School and later at the Slade School of Fine Art, between 1891 and 1895, where he studied under Alphonse Legros, Frederick Brown (artist), Frederick Brown and Henry Tonks. After the Slade, he lived and worked in Yorkshire for five years, before returning to London. In 1901 he had his first work shown at the Royal Academy. Eves exhibited in Paris several times and won a silver medal in 1924 and a gold medal in 1926 at the Paris Salon. He was elected as an Associate of the Royal Academy in 1933 and a Royal Academician in 1939.
