Everything, Everything (album)
''Everything, Everything'' is a live album by Underworld, released 4 September 2000 on Junior Boy's Own. The album is named after the lyrics in one of the songs, "Cowgirl". A companion DVD was released separately soon after the album's release. The DVD features live footage of the band mixed with videography and artistic effects by the design group Tomato, with Jono Griffith of Ernest Edits as 'Creative Editor'. The DVD also features several songs not on the album – "Moaner", "Puppies", "Kittens", and "Rowla". Reception '' Select'' gave the album a four out of five rating, stating that "like most live LPs this is ultimately an artefact for fans rather than newcomers, but it's quite some artefact". Prominent former members include Darren Emerson, from 1991 to 2001, and Darren Price, as part of the live band from 2005 to 2016. After briefly performing as a funk and synth-pop outfit, resulting in two albums between 1988 and 1989, Underworld gained prominence after reshaping into a alternative dance, dance and techno band, releasing albums including ''Dubnobasswithmyheadman'' (1994), ''Second Toughest in the Infants'' (1996) and ''Beaucoup Fish'' (1999), as well as singles "Born Slippy .NUXX" and "Dark & Long, Dark & Long (Dark Train)". Known for their psychedelic music, atmospheric, progressive house, progressive compositions, Hyde's cryptic lyrics, and dynamic live performances, Underworld have influenced a wide range of artists and have been featured in soundtracks and scores for films, television, and the 2012 Summer Olym ...

Cowgirl (song)
"Cowgirl" is a song recorded by Underworld, originally released as a single in 1994. The track is from the band's 1994 album ''Dubnobasswithmyheadman''. In Underworld's live performances, "Cowgirl" is often played with " Rez", as they share key elements and samples. The typical arrangement is to open with "Rez" and mix into "Cowgirl", with the "Rez" melody usually brought back at the climax. The track is usually labelled "Rez / Cowgirl" in fan-distributed bootlegs. This combination also appears on the live album '' Everything, Everything''. ''Slant Magazine'' ranked the song number 30 in its 100 Greatest Dance Songs list, adding: "The jewel in the Orwellian ''dubnobasswithmyheadman''’s crown was "Cowgirl"—everything, everything Underworld's thundering electronica has come to represent as a musical and political force." A key lyrical element in the song is Karl Hyde's repeated chant "Everything, everything," which inspired the title of the live album of the same name. While ...

Outtakes
An outtake is a portion of a work (usually a film or music recording) that is removed in the editing process and not included in the work's final, publicly released version. In the digital era, significant outtakes have been appended to CD and DVD reissues of many albums and films as bonus tracks or features, in film often, but not always, for the sake of humor. In terms of photos, an outtake may also mean the ones which are not released in the original set of photos (i.e. photo shoots and digitals). Film An outtake is any take of a movie or a television program that is removed or otherwise not used in the final cut. Some of these takes are humorous mistakes made in the process of filming commonly known to American audiences as bloopers. Multiple takes of each shot are always taken, for safety. Due to this, the number of outtakes a film has will always vastly outnumber the takes included in the edited, finished product. An outtake may also be a complete version of a recording tha ...

Kittens
A kitten is a juvenile cat. After being born, kittens display primary altriciality and are totally dependent on their mothers for survival. They normally do not open their eyes for seven to ten days. After about two weeks, kittens develop quickly and begin to explore the world outside their nest. After a further three to four weeks, they begin to eat solid food and grow baby teeth. Domestic kittens are highly social animals and usually enjoy human companionship. Etymology The word "kitten" derives from the Middle English word , which in turn came from the Old French or . Juvenile big cats are called "cubs" rather than kittens; either term (but usually more commonly "kitten") may be used for the young of smaller wild felids, such as ocelots, caracals, and lynxes. Development A feline litter usually consists of two to five kittens, but litters with one to more than ten are known. Kittens are typically born after a gestation lasting between 64 and 67 days, with an average le ...

Moaner (song)
"Moaner" is a song by Underworld, first appearing in 1997 on the ''Batman & Robin'' soundtrack. It was also commercially released as a single in Germany and Japan, with promo-only releases being made available in the UK and US. Sales of the imported German release were sufficient for a UK Singles Chart entry, peaking at #89. The 7:37 "long version" (which is actually shorter than the album version) was later added as the last track on the group's 1999 album ''Beaucoup Fish''. The song's bassline was ranked by ''Stylus Magazine'' at number 27 in their list of the "Top 50 Basslines of All Time". However, the same article mentions lyrics which are in fact the lyrics to the track "Push Upstairs". It might be this track that they are actually referring to.Stylus Magazine's Top ...

Rez (song)
"Rez" is a non-album track by British electronic music group Underworld, originally released in 1993 in the UK. It became a popular club hit and live track in Underworld's sets, despite the fact it could not be found on an album. However, it did appear on many compilations, b-sides, and even appeared on a bonus disc for ''Second Toughest in the Infants'' (1996). The first promo release of the single was pressed onto pink vinyl, and is highly collectible as it has an exclusive non-album track, "Why, Why, Why". The song's obscurity led to many bootleg pressings of the song before it was officially re-issued as part of '' 1992–2012 The Anthology''. The more common release has the single "Cowgirl" as its b-side. This version also received a limited white vinyl pressing in the US. Born Slippy
"Born Slippy .NUXX" is a song by British electronic music group Underworld. It was first released as the B-side to "Born Slippy", in May 1995. The fragmented lyrics, by vocalist Karl Hyde, describe the perspective of an alcoholic. After it was used in the 1996 film ''Trainspotting'', "Born Slippy .NUXX" was issued as a single on 1 July 1996 and reached number two on the UK Singles Chart. It has been named one of the best tracks of the 1990s by numerous publications. Writing Vocalist Karl Hyde wrote the lyrics for "Born Slippy .NUXX" after a night drinking in Soho, London, hoping to capture the way a drunk "sees the world in fragments". The vocals were recorded in one take; when Hyde lost his place, he would sing the same line repeatedly, creating the line "lager, lager, lager, lager". Hyde, who was struggling with alcoholism, said he did not intend the song to be a "drinking anthem" but rather a "cry for help". He was disturbed when audience members raised their lager cans dur ...

Pearl's Girl
"Pearl's Girl" is the title of several 1996 single releases and a song by Underworld, from their album ''Second Toughest in the Infants''; where the song is titled "Pearls Girl". The single peaked on the UK Singles Chart at number 22. The song title comes from the name of a racing greyhound. "I spent a few nights in Hamburg," recalled Karl Hyde, "and it actually came from a night on the Rioja down by the docks. I'm actually shouting, Rioja, Rioja… I'd come from this really great club on the Reeperbahn, listening to lots of classic soul, which is where the 'Reverend Al Green' bit comes from. I was sitting by the docks and they have these 'bride boats' there, which people get married on. They go down the river and out to sea. I was just sitting there, Rioja-ed out, watching these boats sail past me at three in the morning. There were bonfires and everything."
