''Everydaydream'' is the eighth and final studio album by the Australian rock band Died Pretty. The album, recorded with producer Wayne Connolly and released in October 2000, injected a strongly electronic feel into the band's sound with its extensive use of synthesizers and drum machines. Died Pretty
Died Pretty, sometimes The Died Pretty, is an Australian alternative rock band founded by mainstays Ron Peno (lead singer) and Brett Myers (lead guitarist and backing vocalist) in Sydney in 1983. The band was briefly called Final Solution. Their music started from a base of early electric Bob Dylan with psychedelic influences, including The Velvet Underground and Television. They were managed by John Needham, who is the owner of Citadel Records, their main label. Died Pretty's 1990s albums, '' Doughboy Hollow'', ''Trace'' and '' Sold'', appeared on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Charts but they had more success on the alternative scene. Wayne Connolly
Wayne Paul Connolly is an Australian musician, record producer and audio engineer. From 1991 to 1997 Connolly provided lead guitar and vocals in guitar pop group the Welcome Mat, with whom he released two studio albums. In 1994, he formed Knievel with Tracy Ellis and Nick Kennedy, which issued four studio albums. Knievel achieved high rotation on national youth radio Triple J, they toured locally and internationally, and supported performances by Luna, Teenage Fanclub, Death Cab for Cutie and The Pernice Brothers. Career Musician Wayne Connolly (ex-Deluge), on lead guitar and backing vocals, joined urban and western band John Kennedy's Love Gone Wrong in Sydney in mid-1986. Alongside Connolly, the group's line-up was Kennedy on lead vocals and guitar, Cory Messenger on guitar and backing vocals, Barry Turnbull on bass guitar and Vincent Sheehan on drums. ''Using My Gills as a Roadmap'' is the seventh album by Australian rock band Died Pretty. The album, their second working with producer Wayne Connolly, was released in 1998. Guitarist and co-songwriter Brett Myers said the album marked a return to more experimental work, with little concern about the potential for radio airplay. "We all made a conscious decision to do something different with this album that we hadn't done before," he said. "We wanted to make songs that didn't have such rigid structures and to get away from the pop groove we'd fallen into a bit in the past." He said the album was also the one the band had taken most charge of in the production process. "It's a hell of a lot more work—we couldn't lounge around and relax as much. Ron Peno
Ronald "Ron" Stephen Peno (born mid 1950s), who also performed as Ronnie Pop, is an Australian rock singer, he fronted Died Pretty, from 1984 to 2002, he was a member of early punk band the Hellcats (1976–77), and followed with the 31st (in Brisbane, 1979–81) and Screaming Tribesmen (1981). Biography Ron Peno was born in the mid 1950s in Gosford. He attended secondary school in Narrabri where he made up a band name, Virgin Frogs, he later explained " twas just something I had in the country, I made up a band name. A very left field thing to do. I put it into 'Sounds Blasts' (music column.) My friend and I were at school in Narribri and put it in to see if they'd print it."
