Everybody Lies (House)
"Pilot", also known as "Everybody Lies," is the first episode of the medical drama ''House''. The episode premiered on the Fox network on November 16, 2004. It introduces the character of Dr. Gregory House (played by Hugh Laurie)—a maverick antisocial doctor—and his team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. The episode features House's attempts to diagnose a kindergarten teacher after she collapses in class. ''House'' was created by David Shore, who got the idea for the misanthropic title character from a doctor's visit. Initially, producer Bryan Singer wanted an American to play House, but British actor Hugh Laurie's audition convinced him that a foreign actor could play the role. Shore wrote House as a character with parallels to Sherlock Holmes—both are drug users, blunt, and close to being friendless. ''Emerald City'' is an American fantasy drama television series developed for NBC by Matthew Arnold and Josh Friedman based on the early 20th century ''Oz'' book series written by L. Frank Baum, set in the fictional Land of Oz. Directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Adria Arjona, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu and Vincent D'Onofrio, ''Emerald City'' received a 10-episode order by NBC in April 2015, which premiered on January 6, 2017, with a two-episode debut, and concluded on March 3, 2017. The series received mostly negative critical reviews, and was the lowest rated series on NBC. On May 5, 2017, NBC canceled the series after one season. ''All Is Vanity'' is the second and final studio album by American singer and songwriter Christina Grimmie. It was released posthumously on June 9, 2017, through Republic Records and Universal Music Group. On the day of the release of '' Side B'', the Grimmie family announced that they would release ''All Is Vanity''. The album was originally scheduled to be released on June 2, 2017, on National Gun Violence Awareness Day, but was then postponed to June 9, 2017, a day before the first anniversary of Grimmie's murder. According to ''Billboard'', the Grimmie family revealed that the songs on '' Side B'' would be featured on the album.
