Robert Morgan Hyatt (born 1948) is an American computer scientist and programmer. He co-authored the computer chess programs Crafty and Cray Blitz which won two World Computer Chess Championships in the 1980s. Hyatt was a computer science professor at the University of Southern Mississippi (1970–1985) and University of Alabama at Birmingham (1988–2016). Early life and education Hyatt was born in Laurel, Mississippi in 1948. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1970 and an M.S. in 1983, both from the University of Southern Mississippi. His master's dissertation was titled ''Cray Blitz: A Computer Chess Playing Program''. Hyatt earned a Ph.D. in computer and information sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1988. Herbert Vigran (June 5, 1910 – November 29, 1986) was an American character actor in Hollywood from the 1930s to the 1980s. Over his 50-year career, he made over 350 television and film appearances. Early years Vigran was a native of Cincinnati, but his family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, when he was 16. He graduated with an LL.B. degree from Indiana University, but later chose to pursue acting. Stage Billed as Herbert Vigran, he appeared on Broadway in three plays from 1935 through 1938. William Boyett
William Boyett (January 3, 1927 – December 29, 2004) was an American actor best known for his roles in law enforcement dramas on television from the 1950s through the 1990s. Early years Boyett was born in Akron, Ohio, and lived there until the 1940s, when he moved with his family to Los Angeles, California. He won a Shakespeare competition in high school which led to acting jobs in radio.
