Everton Park State High School
Everton Park State High School is a small school consisting of approximately 500 students located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. The Queensland Government gazettal proclamation of 22 September 1960 announced the opening of a Stafford State High School for the beginning of 1961. The school was renamed Everton Park State High School by gazettal proclamation dated 8 December 1960 and opened 23 January 1961 under this name. The actor Geoffrey Rush is one of the school's more notable alumni. The Metropolitan Region Music Resource Centre is co-located with the school. Glenn Wheatley
Glenn Dawson Wheatley (23 January 1948 – 1 February 2022) was an Australian musician, talent manager and tour promoter. Career Wheatley began his career as a musician in Brisbane in the mid-1960s. In the late 1960s he became known nationally as the bass player in the rock band the Masters Apprentices. He subsequently formed a media empire which included radio stations and artist management. Michelle Susan Martin, OAM (born 29 April 1967) is an Australian former professional squash player who was one of the game's leading players in the 1990s. She was ranked number one in the world from 1993 to 1996 and again in 1998 and 1999, and won three World Open titles and six British Open titles. Rodney Martin (born 17 October 1965) is an Australian former professional squash player, who is best known for winning the 1991 World Open and becoming the first player to defeat Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan in the same event. Adrian Lam (born 25 August 1970) is a Papua New Guinean professional rugby league coach who is the head coach of the Super League Club Leigh Leopards (was Leigh Centurions), and a former rugby league footballer.
