Evert Jan Boks
Evert Jan Boks (18 April 1838 – 14 June 1914) was a Dutch painter. Evert-Jan Boks was a pupil of Arie Lieman and Willem Riem Vis in Apeldoorn. He continued his studies at the Royal Academy in Antwerp, where he won a first prize in 1863. Later on, he also won the Prix de Rome. After study tours, mainly in France and Italy, he permanently settled in Antwerp, and married Elie Voet. Their house which they inhabited life-long in Antwerp, still exists in the rue Lamorinière. Many of his works went to the United States at a time when the first American tourists began to visit Europe in large numbers in tours organised by the steamship companies. Evert Constantijn Hingst (22 March 1969 – 31 October 2005) was a Dutch lawyer. He was murdered in Amsterdam, one day before he would talk to various media about the various investigations the Dutch Department of Justice was conducting after him. Among Hingst's clients were many noted criminals, including Sam Klepper and John Mieremet, who was once shot in front of Hingst's office. After this assault, Mieremet has claimed that Hingst had tried to set him up and promised revenge. Mieremet was murdered several days later, on 2 November, in Thailand. Both he and Hingst were suspected of involvement in the extortion and subsequent murder of real estate magnate Willem Endstra. Frans Evert Eloranta (10 October 1879 – 1936) was a Finnish politician and a Member of the Parliament for the Social Democratic Party in 1908–1918. During the Finnish Civil War, Eloranta served as the Minister of Agriculture of the Finnish Socialist Workers' Republic. In March 1918, he was elected the commander-in-chief of the Red Guards as a member of the triumvirate with Eino Rahja and Adolf Taimi.
