Everett Douglas (1902–1967) was an American film editor.Kear & King p.227 He was under contract to Paramount Pictures for many years. At the end of his career he edited numerous episodes of the western television series ''Bonanza''. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing at the 1954 Oscars for his work on '' The War of the Worlds''. ''Welcome Stranger'' is a 1947 film directed by Elliott Nugent and starring Bing Crosby, Barry Fitzgerald, and Joan Caulfield. It was filmed in Hollywood with location shots at Munz Lakes during March to May 1946. Elliott Nugent appeared in one scene as a doctor sent to examine Barry Fitzgerald and that scene was directed by Billy Wilder.
