Eventide (EP)
''Eventide'' is a five-track extended play by Australian singer-songwriter, Monique Brumby. It was released in August 1998 by Sony Music Australia. A music video for its lead track, "Wrecking Ball", was released to promote the EP. In Hobart newspaper, '' The Examiner'', on 13 October 1998, former local resident Brumby described the EP to the reporter, "There's a lot more space in the music on ''Eventide''. The songs have got more of an edge and there's also some experimentation with electronica. We thought we'd release the five tracks as a bit of a taste test." She explained that it would provide a "bridge" between her debut album, ''Thylacine'' (1997), and her next one. Monique Brumby
Monique Brumby (born 16 September 1974, in Devonport) is an Australian Indie pop/rock singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer. Her debut single, " Fool for You", peaked into the top 40 in the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) ARIA Singles Charts, and provided an ARIA Award for Best New Talent at the ARIA Music Awards of 1996. Her single, "Mary", won an ARIA Music Awards of 1997 for ARIA Award for Best Female Artist. Brumby's songs have been used for television: ''Neighbours'', ''Home and Away'', ''McLeod's Daughters'', ''The Secret Life of Us'' and ''Heartbreak High''; and in the Australian films: '' Diana & Me'' (1997) and ''Occasional Coarse Language'' (1998). Kalju Tonuma is an Australian music producer, songwriter, drummer and performer of Estonian descent. He is one half of the production team MEJU (pronounced "me-you") which he founded with Megan Bernard in 2014. He also manages record label Of One Kind and live-stream venue The B Side. ''Signal Hill'' is the second studio album by Australian singer songwriter, Monique Brumby, which was released in October 2002. It was co-produced by Brumby with Paul McKercher, Stephen Moffatt and Simon Polanski. Background and release Following the success of her debut studio album ''Thylacine'' in 1997, Brumby began working on her second album, ''Signal Hill'', but conflict with the record label meant they parted ways and Brumby set up her own label, Little Wind. "Silver Dollars" was released in November 2000 as the album's first single. This was followed by "As Sweet as You Are" in October 2002. ''The Examiner'' is the daily newspaper of the city of Launceston and north-eastern Tasmania, Australia. Overview ''The Examiner'' was first published on 12 March 1842, founded by James Aikenhead. The Reverend John West was instrumental in establishing the newspaper and was the first editorial writer. At first it was a weekly publication (Saturdays). Peter Luscombe is an Australian drummer and composer. Career Luscombe was a member of The Black Sorrows from 1985 to 1993 appearing on the albums ''A Place in the World'' (1986), ''Dear Children'' (1987), ''Hold on to Me'' (1988), ''Harley and Rose'' (1990), ''Better Times'' (1993). He worked with Stephen Cummings as a member of Stephen Cummings' Lovetown, and the Stephen Cummings Band. He joined Rebecca's Empire which was formed by Rebecca Barnard and Shane O'Mara (both also part of Cummings' backing bands).
