Eve Of Destruction (film)
''Eve of Destruction'' is a 1991 American science fiction/action film. The film is about a nuclear armed prototype android named EVE gone amok while being field tested by the military in a big city. The film stars Gregory Hines as Col. Jim McQuade and Dutch actress Renée Soutendijk (in her first U.S. film) with the dual roles as the robot's creator Dr. Eve Simmons, and the robot Eve herself. Plot EVE VIII is a military android created to look and sound exactly like her creator, Dr. Eve Simmons. When the robot is damaged during a bank robbery, it accesses memories it was programmed with by her creator. The memories used, though, are dark and tragic ones. The robot is also programmed as a killing machine if anyone tries to stop her mission. Colonel Jim McQuade is tasked with eliminating the unstoppable machine. Duncan Gibbins
Duncan Gibbins (13 October 1952 – 3 November 1993) was a British film and music video director, as well as a screenwriter. Gibbins was known for his romance film, romance and Thriller (genre), thriller films as well as for the various music videos he directed. Gibbins's first break was with the 1986 release of ''Fire with Fire (1986 film), Fire with Fire'', about a young woman who attends a Catholic school and a young man from a nearby prison camp who fall in love and run away together to escape the law, the church and their parents. On 3 November 1993, Gibbins died as a result of third degree burns he received from a fire at the home he was renting. He was 41 years old at the time of his death. Kevin McCarthy (February 15, 1914 – September 11, 2010) was an American stage, film and television actor remembered as the male lead in the horror science fiction film ''Invasion of the Body Snatchers'' (1956).
