Evansville Crush
The Evansville Crush was an American indoor soccer team, founded in 2010. The team was a member of the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier), the development league for the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL), and played in the Midwest Conference. They played their home matches at the Metro Sports Center in the city of Evansville, Indiana. Before the start of the 2010 season, the Crush hosted the Hoosier Cup tournament with six Midwest clubs. They would go undefeated in the knockout rounds and beat the Louisville Lightning in overtime of championship game. In 2013, the team was replaced by the Evansville Kings but lasted only one season. Metro Sports Center
Metro Sports Center is a multi-purpose athletic facility located in Evansville, Indiana. The facility has one turfed walled indoor soccer field, fine volleyball court, oel, multi-sport court for volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, roller derby or floor hockey. There is also a private room for parties and meetings and two tenant spaces upstairs. Metro provides a climate controlled area for youth and adult sports programs, youth and adult parties as well as time slots for facility rentals. Current programs Volley Kids: 1st-2nd grade. This is an instructional program that meets once per week to teach the basics volleyball skills and an understanding of the game that prepares players for the league that is offered from 3rd grade through high school. Premier Arena Soccer League
The Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) is an indoor soccer league with mostly semi-professional teams; along with a number of amateur teams across North America. The PASL was previously known as the Federation of Sports Arenas (FSA). The PASL logo formerly belonged to what is now the Major Arena Soccer League. Teams play in regional competition to keep travel costs to a minimum. The champion of each region then compete in a playoff tournament to decide the league champion. PASL currently runs a men's winter and summer league as well as women's summer league. The winter league typically starts in December and ends in March. Louisville Lightning was an American men's professional soccer club based in Louisville, Kentucky. The Lightning competed in the Professional Arena Soccer League, as a member of the Major Arena Soccer League, Eastern Division. The club began play in 2009–10 PASL-Pro season, 2009.
