Evan Simpson (born February 11, 1957) is an American politician and a Republican former member of the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 21 from his appointment on October 13, 2017 until January 10, 2023. Elections 2017 Incumbent Republican Representative Robert McKim resigned on September 14, 2017, due to health reasons. Lincoln County Commissioners appointed Simpson to replace McKim and took office on October 13, 2017. Personal life Simpson is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robert M. McKim (January 18, 1946 – February 19, 2018) was an American politician and a Republican former member of the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 21 from January 2009 until his resignation on September 14, 2017, due to health reasons. Afton is a town in Lincoln County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 1,911 at the 2010 census. Afton is home to the world's largest arch made of elk antlers. Spanning across the four lanes of U.S. Highway 89, the arch consists of 3,011 elk antlers and weighs 15 tons. History The first settlement at Afton was made in 1885. The community takes its name from the River Afton, in Ayrshire, Scotland. Geography Afton is the largest city in Star Valley, a grassland valley in forested mountains. The Wyoming House of Representatives is the lower house of the Wyoming State Legislature. There are 60 Representatives in the House, representing an equal number of single-member constituent districts across the state, each with a population of at least 9,000.
