Evan Michael Tanner
Evan Michael Tanner, or simply Tanner, is a fictional character created by American author Lawrence Block. Tanner appears in eight novels. Seven of those were published in the 5-year period 1966–1970; the eighth appeared in 1986 after a 28 year gap. A former American soldier who lost the need for sleep after a brain injury, Tanner's adventures take him across the world, and his is particularly devoted to "lost causes".Block, Lawrence (1979). Evan Lloyd Tanner (February 11, 1971 – September 5, 2008) was an American professional mixed martial arts fighter. He was a former UFC Middleweight Championship, UFC Middleweight Champion and was the first American to win the Pancrase Neo-Blood tournament in Tokyo, Japan.
