Evan Cheverie
Evan Cheverie (born May 6, 1980) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey forward. Playing career Cheverie was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Undrafted, Cheverie spent four seasons at Miami University before turning professional in 2002 with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones. He also had spells in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the United Hockey League (UHL) with the Columbus Stars before returning to the ECHL with the Long Beach Ice Dogs in 2004. His performances of 29 goals and 68 points in 72 games helped him become an ECHL All-Star. In 2005, Cheverie moved to the United Kingdom, signing with the Coventry Blaze, scoring 20 goals and 52 points, playing mostly as a defenceman to cover for injuries. His outstanding performances earned him a place in the First Team Elite League All-Star selection team. Charlottetown
Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and the county seat of Queens County. Long Beach Ice Dogs
The Long Beach Ice Dogs were an American professional ice hockey team based in Long Beach, California at the Long Beach Sports Arena. They played until the end of the 2006–07 ECHL season. History The Ice Dogs trace their origins to the San Diego Gulls, a team in the now-defunct International Hockey League (IHL), that began play in 1990. In 1995, the team moved north to become the Los Angeles Ice Dogs. Due to poor attendance at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, the team was on the move again after just one season, this time to Long Beach, California, where it retained the "Ice Dogs" name and played at the Long Beach Sports Arena. Marc Cheverie (born February 22, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Dundee Stars of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Stevie Lyle (born 4 December 1979 in Cardiff, Wales) is a British former professional ice hockey goaltender. Lyle started and finished his career playing for the Swindon Wildcats of the English Premier Ice Hockey League. Lyle also played at international level for the Great Britain national ice hockey team. Playing career Lyle began his career as a teenager for his hometown Cardiff Devils. He had a brief junior career in the Ontario Hockey League for the Plymouth Whalers in 1997 before returning to Cardiff. In 2001, the Devils went bankrupt and left the British Ice Hockey Superleague, forcing Lyle to find a new club.
