Eva Nye
Eva Nye is an American politician serving as a member of the Idaho Senate for the 29th legislative district. Nye was appointed to the Senate by Governor Brad Little on August 5, 2022, replacing her husband, Mark Nye. Career Nye served as a member of the Pocatello City Council for 14 years. She was also a substitute legislator for Elaine Smith and Chris Abernathy. After her husband, Mark Nye Mark Nye (1909–1993) was an Anglican bishop and political prisoner in South Africa during the apartheid era. Mark Nye (politician)
Walter Marcus William Nye (August 3, 1945 – July 16, 2022) was an American attorney and politician who served as a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Idaho Senate from the Idaho Legislative District 29, 29th District. Nye previously represented the same district in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2014 to 2016. Early life, education, and career Born in New York City in 1945, Nye was raised in Pocatello, Idaho, descending from early pioneers of the Idaho Territory. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1963 and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College in 1967. He then returned to Idaho and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1974. Career Nye began practicing law in Pocatello in 1974. James Ruchti
James Ruchti is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the 29th district. Elected in November 2020, he assumed office on December 1, 2020. Ruchti had previously served in the House from 2006 to 2010. Early life and education Ruchti was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy in 1993 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2001. Bradley Jay Little (born February 15, 1954) is an American politician serving as the 33rd governor of Idaho since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 42nd lieutenant governor of Idaho from 2009 to 2019 and as an Idaho state senator from 2001 to 2009. Little is a graduate of the University of Idaho, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. He has been involved in public service since the 1980s. Little was appointed as an Idaho state senator by governor Dirk Kempthorne in 2001, a position he held for just under eight years.
