Eva Magni
Eva Magni (July 28, 1909 – February 11, 2005) was an Italian stage and film actress. She was active between 1926 and the late 1970s. Biography Magni was born in Milan into a family of artists, and made her professional debut in 1926, in the stage company Teatro d'Arte di Roma directed by Luigi Pirandello. She debuted as lead actress two years later, in the company directed by Dario Niccodemi. After working in the stage companies led by Memo Benassi, Maria Melato and Laura Carli, in 1940 she was appointed first actress in the Renzo Ricci's company, with whom she eventually started a sentimental relationship. She married Ricci in December 1960 after the death of his first wife, Margherita Bagni. Magni's first film appearance was as Lida Bonelli in ''Paprika (1933 Italian film) , Paprika'' (1933), directed by Carl Boese and starring Vittorio De Sica. Renzo Ricci
Renzo Ricci (27 September 1899 – 20 October 1978) was an Italian stage and film actor. He was also a noted theatre director. Life and career Born in Florence, Ricci started acting in a local dramatic society while still being a student of the Istituto tecnico, and made his professional debut in 1915, with the stage company held by Emma Gramatica. Mainly active on stage, he was a member of several companies, notably the Giorgio Strehler's company at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. In 1957 he won the San Genesio Prize for his performance in Eugene O'Neill's '' Long Day's Journey Into Night''. Alberto Sordi
Alberto Sordi (15 June 1920 – 24 February 2003) was an Italian actor, voice actor, singer, comedian, director and screenwriter. Early life Born in Rome to a schoolteacher and a musician and the last of five children, Sordi was named in honour of an older sibling, who died several days after his birth. Sordi enrolled in Milan's dramatic arts academy but was kicked out because of his thick Roman accent. In the meantime, he studied to be a bass opera singer. His vocal distinctiveness would become his trademark. Career Cinema and television In a career that spanned seven decades, Sordi established himself as an icon of Italian cinema with his representative skills at both comedy and light drama. Maurizio Costanzo (born 28 August 1938) is an Italian television host, journalist, screenwriter and film director. Biography Costanzo began his career as a journalist, first as a contributing writer to ''Paese Sera'' and then as managing editor of the weekly '' Grazia''. In the late 1970s, he was the founding editor of the newspaper ''L'Occhio''. Parallel to his career as a journalist, he worked as a radio and TV host, where he became known for his subtle, low-profile irony. His most popular show, ''Bontà loro'' was a stable of RAI's programming but he was forced to resign after news broke that he was a member of the Propaganda 2 masonic lodge.
