Eva Kristínová
Eva Kristinová (5 August 1928 – 14 June 2020) was a Slovak actress and antifascist fighter. Early life She was born on 5 August 1928 in Trenčín. Her father Jozef Martin Kristín (1897 1970), a former member of the Czechoslovak Legion, was the head of the Trenčín military garrison. He was sentenced to death by the German military court for refusing to surrender military equipment to Wehrmacht, rehabilitated and promoted to the rank of brigadier general after the war and fired from the army and jailed following his refusal to join the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia after the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'état. Following the example of her father, Eva Kristinová herself joined the anti-fascist resistance at the age of 16, she served as a courier for the rebel forces in the Slovak National Uprising. Trenčín
Trenčín (, also known by other #Names and etymology, alternative names) is a List of towns in Slovakia, city in western Slovakia of the central Váh River valley near the Czech Republic, Czech border, around from Bratislava. Slovak Togetherness
The Slovak Togetherness () was a civil society group in Slovakia. 'Slovenská' means "Slovak" ; 'pospolitosť' is a rather archaic word meaning "solidarity" or "community" or "togetherness". The group has been characterised as "extremist." History Creation Slovenská pospolitosť was formed in 1996 to bring together sections of the local far right population and place them under the leadership of more astute ideologues. Ivan Gašparovič
Ivan Gašparovič (; ; born 27 March 1941) is a Slovakia, Slovak politician and lawyer who was the third president of Slovakia from 2004 to 2014. He was also the first and currently the only Slovak president to be re-elected. Biography Ivan Gašparovič was born in Poltár, near Lučenec and Banská Bystrica in present-day south-central Slovakia, which was at that time the Slovak Republic (1939–1945), first Slovak Republic. His father, Vladimir Gašparović, emigrated to Czechoslovakia from Rijeka in modern-day Croatia at the end of World War I and was a teacher at a secondary school in Bratislava, and at one point its Headmaster.
