Eva Gaetino
Eva Julianna Gaetino (born December 17, 2002) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Division 1 Féminine club Paris Saint-Germain. She played college soccer for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Early life Gaetino was born in Chesapeake, Virginia, and raised in Dexter, Michigan. She played club soccer for the Michigan Hawks of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), winning the ECNL national title in 2017. She graduated from Dexter High School. College career Gaetino played four seasons as the starting center back for Notre Dame from 2020 to 2023. In her junior and senior years in 2022 and 2023, she was named first-team All-ACC, first-team All-American, and ACC Defensive Player of the Year. In those two seasons, she anchored a Fighting Irish defense that recorded 20 shutouts, including three in the first three rounds of the 2022 NCAA tournament. The SheBelieves Cup is an invitational women's soccer tournament held in different cities in the United States in late February or early March.
