Eusebio Bejarano
Eusebio Bejarano Vilaro (born 6 May 1948 in Badajoz, Spain) is a former Spanish footballer. He played for Atlético de Madrid between 1968 and 1979, winning the Spanish League in 1970, 1973, and 1976, the Spanish Cup in 1972 and 1976, and the Intercontinental Cup in 1975. He played in the 1974 European Cup Final, which Atlético lost. Badajoz
Badajoz (; formerly written ''Badajos'' in English) is the capital of the Province of Badajoz in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. It is situated close to the Portuguese border, on the left bank of the river Guadiana. The population in 2011 was 151,565. Originally a settlement by groups such as the Romans and the Visigoths, its previous name was Civitas Pacensis. Badajoz was conquered by the Moors in the 8th century, and became a Moorish kingdom, the Taifa of Badajoz. After the reconquista, the area was disputed between Spain and Portugal for several centuries with alternating control resulting in several wars including the Spanish War of Succession (1705), the Peninsular War (1808–1811), the Storming of Badajoz (1812), and the Spanish Civil War (1936). The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del Generalísimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The competition was founded in 1903, thus making it the oldest Spanish football competition played at a national level. It is considered one of the most prestigious ''national cup'' trophies in the world. Copa del Rey winners qualify for the following season's UEFA Europa League.
