Eurovision Young Dancers 2011
The Eurovision Young Dancers 2011 was the twelfth edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers, held at the Dance House in Oslo, Norway on 24 June 2011. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), dancers from ten countries participated in the televised final. and made their début while and returned. Seven countries withdrew from the contest. This was the first edition to be successfully held since , following cancellations in 2009 and 2007. The event was aimed at young dancers aged between 15 and 21, competing in modern dances, be it solo or in couples, as long as they were not professionally engaged. Daniel Sarr of Norway won the contest, with Petra Zupančić of Slovenia placing second (runner-up). Erik Solbakken
Erik Solbakken (born 17 November 1984 in Hemsedal) is a Norwegian television presenter. Solbakken hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 together with Haddy Jatou N'jie and Nadia Hasnaoui. Career Solbakken trained as a journalist at Volda University College and has worked for the state-owned Norwegian broadcaster NRK, hosting multiple children's shows including ''Barne-tv'', ''Julemorgen'', ''Krem Nasjonal'', and ''Superkviss'', as well as ''Barnetimen for de minste'' on NRK P2. In 2011, Solbakken hosted the prestigious sports award show Idrettsgallaen with Haddy N'jie from Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre which was broadcast live on NRK. In 2011, he hosted the Eurovision Young Dancers competition in Oslo. Alongside Jenny Skavlan, Solbakken hosted Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, in Melodi Grand Prix 2013, 2013 and Melodi Grand Prix 2014, 2014.
