European Route E39
European route E39 is the designation of a north–south road in Norway and Denmark from Klett, just south of Trondheim, to Aalborg via Bergen, Stavanger and Kristiansand. In total, there are nine ferries, more than any other single road in Europe. In Trondheim, there are connections to E6 and E14. In Ålesund, to E136, in Bergen to E16, in Haugesund, to E134, in Kristiansand to E18, and in Aalborg to E45. Norwegian part In Norway, E39 is part of Norwegian national road system, and is as such developed and maintained by the public roads administration. E39 is mostly a two-lane undivided road, and only relatively short sections near Stavanger, Trondheim and Bergen are motorways or semi-motorways. Klett (Norway)
Klett is a village in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located in the Leinstrand area of the borough of Heimdal. The village areas of Heimdal and Tiller, Norway, Tiller lie to the northeast, the Byneset area lies to the west, and the village of Melhus (village), Melhus lies to the south. Most of the area surrounding the village is farmland. To the south of Klett is the junction called Klett Crossing (''Klettkrysset'') where the European route E06 and European route E39 highways intersect. The roundabout was built in 1988. It is the site of the most traffic accidents in all of the old Sør-Trøndelag county. It was also long famous for being the only roundabout in Norway with yellow road-signs. This was a test by the Norwegian road administration, inspired by Sweden. Melhus is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Gauldalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Melhus. Other villages include Gåsbakken, Hovin, Korsvegen, Kvål, Ler, Lundamo, Storsand, and Øysand. Halsa is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 2020 when it became part of Heim Municipality in Trondelag county. It was part of the Nordmøre region. The administrative centre of Halsa was the village of Liabøen. Other villages in the municipality included Todalen, Halsanaustan, Valsøyfjord, Engan, Hjellnes, and Valsøybotnen. Fosen
Fosen is a traditional district in Trøndelag, consisting of the municipalities Osen, Roan Åfjord, Ørland, Indre Fosen, Orkland, Heim, Hitra and Frøya. The district is dominated by forested valleys, lakes, coastal cliffs but also shallow areas, and in the interior mountains reaching up to 675 m elevation. The western coast has many skerries and some islands, such as Stokkøya in Åfjord. There are some good salmon rivers, and sea eagles and other sea birds are very common along the coast, notably on the shallow area near Ørland (''Grandefjæra''). The west coast has mild winters, and some locations (just west of the mountains) receive on average more than 2,000 mm of precipitation per year. Lensvik
Lensvik is a village in Orkland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located on the western shore of the Trondheimsfjorden, just north of the village of Selbekken. Lensvik is the site of Lensvik Church, and it lies about north of the village of Ingdalen. The lake Øyangsvatnet is located about to the west of Lensvik. Attractions Lensvik is often called the strawberry capital of Norway. The strawberries are sought after as far as the United States and France. The strawberry season runs from July to August. The first week of July also holds the annual strawberry festival. Bi-annually, Lensvik holds "Street-Meets" bolstering the largest engines driven by the largest egos. It's not uncommon to see a large plume of smoke hovering over one of the main parking lots in the village's center. Orkanger
Orkanger is a town and the administrative centre of Orkland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The town is also a former municipality which existed from 1920 until 1963. The town sits at the end of the Orkdal Fjord, an arm of the Trondheimsfjord. Orkanger is the commercial centre of the municipality of Orkland and it is the site of the Orkanger Church. It was established as a "town" in 2014. Combined with the neighbouring suburban village of Fannrem, the conurbation constitutes one of the largest urban areas in Trøndelag county. Skaun is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Orkdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Børsa.
