European Sprint Swimming Championships 1994
The fourth edition of what later would be the European Short Course Championships was held in Stavanger, Norway, from 3 December to 4 December 1994. The event was named the European Sprint Swimming Championships. Only the 50 m events and the 100 m individual medley were at stake. Stavanger, Norway
Stavanger (, , US usually , ) is a city and municipality in Norway. It is the fourth largest city and third largest metropolitan area in Norway (through conurbation with neighboring Sandnes) and the administrative center of Rogaland county. The municipality is the fourth most populous in Norway. Located on the Stavanger Peninsula in southwest Norway, Stavanger counts its official founding year as 1125, the year the Stavanger Cathedral was completed. Terrie Norlene Miller (born 10 March 1978) is an American-born Norwegian swimmer. She competed at the European Short Course Swimming Championships 1996, where she won a gold medal in 100 m breaststroke, and a silver medal in 50 m breaststroke. She also won a bronze medal in 50 m breaststroke at the 1994 European Sprint Swimming Championships in Stavanger. She was coached by Sondre Solberg since 1992. She participated at the 1996 Summer Olympics, where she finished 20th in 100 m breaststroke. Martina Moravcová
Martina Moravcová (born 16 January 1976) is a Slovak medley, butterfly, and freestyle swimmer. She made her international swimming debut in 1991 for Czechoslovakia, and has gone on to compete in five consecutive Summer Olympics (1992–2008). She is a two-time Olympic silver medalist, both achieved at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
