European Newspaper Award
European Newspaper Award is a design competition for European newspapers. The competition was founded and is organized by newspaper designer Norbert Küpper from Meerbusch, Germany. He co-operates with the journalist magazines '' Medium Magazin'' (Frankfurt), '' Der Österreichische Journalist'' (Salzburg), and '' Schweizer Journalist'' (Oberuzwil). The first winners were announced in 1999. In 2013 there were 20 different award categories and the winners would be announced around 15 November. Design
A design is a plan or specification for the construction of an object or system or for the implementation of an activity or process or the result of that plan or specification in the form of a prototype, product, or process. Tønsbergs Blad
''Tønsbergs Blad'' is a local newspaper published in Tønsberg, Norway. The newspaper was founded by printer Hans Jørgen Magnus Hansen on 3 August 1870, with an initial circulation of 210 copies. By the turn of the century the circulation had grown to 2,600. In 1881 the newspaper was purchased by ''Tønsbergs Aktietrykkeri'', to operate as a conservative publication. In 1986 Orkla Media ASpart of the Orkla Grouptook over ownership. ''Kleine Zeitung'' (, ''Small Newspaper'') is an Austrian newspaper based in Graz and Klagenfurt. As the largest regional newspaper in Austria, covering the federal states Styria and Carinthia with East Tyrol, the paper has around 800,000 readers. ''Östersunds-Posten'', simply ''ÖP'', is a Swedish language local newspaper published in Östersund, Sweden. The paper has been in circulation since 1877. History and profile ''Östersunds-Posten'' was established in 1877. Its headquarters is in Östersund. Het Parool
''Het Parool'' () is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945). In English, its name means ''The Password'' or ''The Motto''. History Second World War The paper was preceded by a stenciled newsletter which was started in May 1940 by Frans Goedhart. In late 1940, Wim van Norden joined the group of producers of the newsletter; Van Norden would later serve as director of the newspaper between 1945 and 1979. The ''Sunday Tribune'' was an Irish Sunday broadsheet newspaper published by Tribune Newspapers plc. It was edited in its final years by NóirÃn Hegarty, who changed both the tone and the physical format of the newspaper from broadsheet to tabloid.
