European Nations Cup First Division 2000
The 2000 European Nations Cup was the first European Nations Cup, an international rugby union competition for second-tier nations. It replaced the FIRA Tournament following the emergence of professionalism in rugby union and Italy being granted a place in the Six Nations. The first season had six teams (five from Europe and one from Africa). The teams played each other once, playing roughly to the same weekends as the Six Nations. Romania won the first title, with a single loss to Morocco in the opening game. Georgia improved their performance in the context of European rugby, finishing in second place, while Morocco finished in third place, ahead of Spain and Portugal. Netherlands finished last. Rugby Europe International Championships
The Rugby Europe International Championships is the European Championship for tier 2 and tier 3 rugby union nations. The tournament is split into 5 levels, each with 5 or 6 teams. Its highest level is now called the Rugby Europe Championship and, unofficially, referred to as the Six Nations B. All levels play on a one-year cycle, replacing the old format of a two-year cycle, with the teams playing each other both home and away. From September 2016, there will still be an annual champion, however a format change means each year sees teams promoted and relegated between the levels. The Lisbon University Stadium ( pt, Estádio Universitário de Lisboa) is a unit within the University of Lisbon, and a multivenue park located in Alvalade, Lisbon, comprising several sports facilities, and mostly known for its main venue and namesake, the ''Estádio de Honra'', a multi-use stadium. It also includes several indoors arenas, tennis courts, football fields, a golf course, a swimming pool complex and a medical centre. Vasil Katsadze
Vasil Katsadze ( ka, ვასილ კაცაძე; born Potsdam, 16 July 1976) is a Georgian rugby union and rugby league player. He played as a wing and as a flanker in rugby union. Katsadze moved to France, where he played in AS Béziers (1999/2000), FCS Rumilly (2000/01), FC Grenoble (2001/02), SC Albi (2004/05-2005/06) and Villefranche XIII Aveyron. Peter Philpott (rugby Union)
Peter Ian Philpott (21 November 1934 – 31 October 2021) was an Australian cricketer. He was a leg-spin bowler and middle order batsman who played for New South Wales and the national team in the 1960s. More recently, he was known as a coach. He made his Test debut in the West Indies in 1964–65 and took 18 wickets (at 34.94) in the five Tests. Back home against England in the 1965–66 Ashes series he took 5/90 in the first innings of the First Test at Brisbane, forcing England to follow on, but took only 8 wickets (46.37) in the first three Tests of the series and was dropped. Andriy Kovalenco (born 12 July 1971, in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian-born Spanish rugby union player. He plays as a fly-half. Career Kovalenco started playing rugby at 14 years old, in Aviator Kiev, where he had his first game for the premier team aged only 16. He played for Aviator Kyiv from 1987/88 to 1988/89. Due to the military service he had to move to VVA Moscow, the Army team, where he would play from 1989/90 to 1990/91. He won one Soviet League title and two Soviet Cups with VVA Moscow.
