Moldova ( , ; ), officially the Republic of Moldova ( ro, Republica Moldova), is a Landlocked country, landlocked country in Eastern Europe. Valeriu Saharneanu
Valeriu Saharneanu (born 3 August 1952) is a journalist from the Republic of Moldova. He has been the head of the Union of Journalists of Moldova since 1994. Biography Valeriu (Vladimir) Saharneanu was born on 3 August 1952 in Cuizăuca, Rezina District, where he completed his elementary studies (1959–1969). He has a degree in philology from the Journalism Department at Moldova's State University, and from the Journalism Department at the Superior School of Political Science in Sankt-Petersburg. He attended the Moldova State University (1970–1975) and the Faculty of Journalism of the Saint Petersburg State University (1987–1989). Vocea Basarabiei ( en, Voice of Bessarabia) is a Romanian language radio station in Moldova. History Vocea Basarabiei was launched on 18 June 2000 in Nisporeni. Nisporeni District
Nisporeni () is a district ( ro, raion) in west-central Moldova, with its administrative center at Nisporeni. According to the 2014 census, its population was 53,154; most (82.8 percent) are Moldovans. History The Vărzărești monastery was first mentioned on 25 April 1420. The oldest locations in the district ( Bălăurești, Ciutești, Seliște, Nisporeni and Vărzărești) were first mentioned in 1420-1425. The 15th to 18th centuries were marked by economic (trade and agriculture) and cultural development (the construction of monasteries and churches) and population growth. The city of Nisporeni was first mentioned by Gaspar Graziani in his book dated 4 January 1618. Ungheni District
Ungheni () is a district ( ro, raion) in the central part of Moldova, bordering Romania, with the administrative center at Ungheni. The other major city is Corneşti. As of 1 January 2011, its population was 117,400. History Villages with ancient historical credentials are Buciumeni, Busila and Ungheni, they are documented in the period 1428–1430.
