FIBA EuroChallenge
FIBA EuroChallenge (called the FIBA Europe League in 2003–05, and FIBA EuroCup in 2005–08) was the 3rd-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, from 2003 to 2015. It was organized and run by FIBA Europe. It is not to be confused with the FIBA EuroCup Challenge – the now defunct 4th-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, which was also organized and run by FIBA Europe, and played during the 2002–03 to 2006–07 seasons. In 2015, FIBA dissolved the EuroChallenge, in order to start the Basketball Champions League (BCL) and FIBA Europe Cup (FEC), in order to compete with the EuroLeague and EuroCup competitions, which are organized by the rival Euroleague Basketball. Lappeenrannan NMKY
Lappeenrannan NMKY (also known as LrNMKY for short or as Team Lappeenranta in European competitions) is a basketball club based in a city of Lappeenranta, Finland. It was formed in 1951 as a Young Men's Christian Association (NMKY in Finnish) and has won two Finnish Championships (2005, 2006) and two Finnish Cups (2005, 2006). Team Lappeenranta participated in Fiba EuroCup challenge in 2005/2006 finishing in semi-finals. In 2007/2008 season team is willing to make another run in Europe, this time in FIBA EuroCup. After the 2013–14 season, NMKY left the Korisliiga because of financial problems. 2013–14 EuroChallenge
The 2013–14 EuroChallenge was the 11th edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs. The winner and the runner-up of this competition earned a place at the group stage of the 2014–15 Eurocup season. The Final Four was held in PalaDozza in Bologna, Italy. The host of the tournament, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia won the Final by beating Triumph Lyubertsy 79–65. Italian player Andrea Cinciarini received the Final Four MVP award. Competition format changes This year's EuroChallenge saw a number of innovations, including the division of the participating clubs into two main Conferences for the Regular Season - Conference 1 and Conference 2 - based on a broad geographical criteria. Hapoel Holon Basketball Club ( he, מועדון הכדורסל הפועל חולון), known for sponsorship reasons as Hapoel Atsmon Playgrounds Holon (), is a professional basketball club based in Holon, Israel. The team plays in the Israeli Basketball Premier League (the top tier of Israeli basketball), and internationally in the Basketball Champions League. The team was founded in 1947, and plays in the Holon Toto Hall, which is home to 5,500 spectators. Frank Hassell
Franklin Hassell (born October 9, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for VEF Rīga of the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Standing at , he plays as a power forward. In 2012–13, he was the top rebounder in the Israel Basketball Premier League. Career Hassell competed in college for Old Dominion. As a senior he averaged 15 points and 9.4 rebounds per game for a team that went 27–7. He was named to the All-CAA First Team. After graduation he played for different teams in Israel, Italy and Turkey. In 2012–13, he was the top rebounder in the Israel Basketball Premier League. 2012–13 EuroChallenge was the 9th edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs. Teams 32 teams will participate in EuroChallenge Regular Season: * A total of 28 teams have already qualified directly to the 32-team regular season. * Another 4 teams will earn their place at the group stage by winning a qualifying round. Okapi Aalst is a Belgian professional basketball club from Aalst, Belgium. The club competes in the top tier BNXT League and plays its home games in the Okapi Forum, which has a seating capacity of 2,800 people. Christopher Stephen Copeland (born March 17, 1984) nicknamed "The X-Factor" is an American former professional basketball player who last played for MoraBanc Andorra of the Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the University of Colorado Boulder from 2002 until 2006. Early life Copeland was born in Orange, New Jersey to mother, Terry, in 1984. Benjamin Michael Woodside (born July 1, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player who spent the majority of his eight-year career playing in Europe. College career From 2005 to 2009, Woodside was a member of the North Dakota State Bison men's basketball team. As a senior in 2008–09, he was named Summit League Player of the Year. On December 12, 2008, he had a 60-point performance against Stephen F. Austin. Ten days later, Woodside became North Dakota State's career scoring leader in a 90–68 win over Northern Arizona.
