FIBA EuroBasket 2007
The 2007 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2007, was the 35th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe, which also served as Europe qualifier for the 2008 Summer Olympics, giving a berth to the champion and runner-up teams (or to the third-placed team in case Spain should reach the final). It was held in Spain between 3 September and 16 September 2007. Sixteen national teams entered the event under the auspices of FIBA Europe, the sport's regional governing body. The cities of Alicante, Granada, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, and Seville hosted the tournament. Russia won its first EuroBasket title since the dissolution of the Soviet Union, by defeating hosts Spain, with a 60–59 score in the final. Russia's Andrei Kirilenko was voted the tournament's MVP. Palace of Culture and Sports ( bg, Дворец на културата и спорта) is an indoor complex for culture and sport located in Varna, Bulgaria. The complex has three sports halls - "Kongresna Hall", "Mladost Hall" and "Hall 20". The Palace of Culture and Sports was completed in 1968. A complete copy of the "Palace of Culture and Sports" exists in Africa - this is the "National Arts Theatre", Iganmu, in Lagos, Nigeria. Łukasz Koszarek
Łukasz Koszarek (born 12 January 1984) is a Polish professional basketball player for Legia Warszawa of the Polish Basketball League. He is a point guard. Professional career Koszarek has spent most of his career in the Polish Basketball League. He made his debut for Polonia Warbud Warszawa in 2003–04, seeing limited action off the bench for the team. However, the following year, he saw significantly more action, averaging 11.6 points and 4.8 assists per game in leading the team to a third-place finish in the league. In 2008–09 season, he averaged 13.9 points and 6.1 assists per game for fourth-place Anwil Włocławek. Adam Wójcik (20 April 1970 – 26 August 2017) was a Polish professional basketball player. He was known as one of the all-time greats in Polish basketball. He is the second all-time leading scorer of the Polish Basketball League, with 10,087 points scored. Professional career On club level, he played in his native Poland, and also in Belgium, Greece, Italy and Spain. He is second in the all-time list of games played in the Polish League, with a total of 651, and points scored, with 10,087 points. Filip Dylewicz (born 25 January 1980) is a Polish former professional basketball player. He also represented the Polish national basketball team in the international competitions.
